  1. @winterknight (Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered:) If there is only ever "the Self", why does there ever seem to be a "little, separate self" that then appears to have to wake up to its true nature, "the Self"? I mean, why does the illusion of duality ever appear to begin with?
  2. Just want to share one of my favorite Rupert Spira guided meditations here on exploring and dissolving the "me" feelings in the head, throat, chest, etc. (starting at 16:13):
  3. Nothing wrong with video games (or anything else). It's the attachment to them that creates problems/knocks things out of balance. Balance is everything.
  4. When I'm at home alone, I like to lie on my back, close my eyes, and chant along with this video while visualizing the vibrations of the sounds clearing out any blocked/stagnant energy... Feels really good (to me)! :
  5. I don't know what stage the movie "Being John Malkovitch" is, but it's one of my favorites: Another one of my faves is "I heart Huckabees":
  6. @Violinpracticerdude What you do think of the idea (presented by Dr. Schwartz in the video above ) that the brain may be an antenna/receiver of consciousness rather than the creator of consciousness?
  7. Awareness is "outside the matrix". Ask yourself now: "Am I aware?" And then refer to your direct experience. As it may be helpful, here's a video of Rupert Spira guiding someone through the investigation of Awareness (staring at 23:39) :
  8. Same to you I found this to be interesting... but I suppose all that Dr. Alexander is saying could be just based on belief:
  9. Thank you for your patience in going through this with me. So, you believe that without the string of interdependent appearances, there's no infinite consciousness? (Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you) but to me, this is like saying that without the appearance of clouds in the sky, there's no sky... Or without any waves, there's no ocean... Or without a desert mirage, there's no desert.
  10. I did the experiement, but I still don't see how it proves that an egg comes from outside of consciousness?... it just appears to come from outside (and appears to be "other than") the limited mind/subject/perceiver... but that's a limited, distorted perception of the greater reality (i.e. infinite consciousness).
  11. Perception arises from the apparent interplay of a perceiver (or limited mind/"subject") and that which is perceived (the "object"). Perceiver, perception, and perceived all are appearances arising in infinite consciousness, are made of infinite consciousness.
  12. @Emanyalpsid Maybe I'm mis-reading you though when you say, "Your consciousness of the egg is dependent... etc"? Maybe you mean "Your perception of the egg is dependent... etc"? (Sorry for any confusion/misunderstanding) I agree with this: "Therefore it (consciousness) doesn't need to experience itself (appearances, universe, reality), as it (consciousness) knows that itself (appearances) came into existence through it (consciousness)."
