Yes but also there’s not really any decisions going on. Like I said, it’s intuitive/ isness There is no True perspective. Just all the infinite relative ones Including that of the universal. Now in your example there still isn’t enough context but surrender to life is a must, no matter how it would play out. There’s no games but what may appear to be depending on the context. But let’s say two guys enlightened same age and health, no qualms or agendas in play, there’d be a good chance both would die together. Genuinely I see everyone to be enlightened at their core
-
@TheAvatarStateIMO it would all be very intuitive but It’s also dependent on the circumstances and relationship and not so much the enlightened aspect (which goes beyond perspectives). Sure maybe neither would fear death but to say ending another life is going to weigh on their conscience is just ego, there’d be no regret. Enlightened individuals do not identify with a nondual universal perspective

Yes it’s easy to mistake psychological/inward time for actual chronological time. “Nahm I don’t have time to finish my homework...please a little help?” ? @Serotoninluvcheck it dude http://www.awakin.org/read/view.php?tid=302 -
exactly dude, who said you need permission? Do you love you (Paul)? This work is not about losing yourself, it's about realizing there's more to you than what your thoughts and beliefs (experiences) tell you. It's about learning to think for yourself by developing the awareness to see how you can overcome adversity, create a life/mindset of abundance, and ultimately share all the love you've realized
-
@Paul92We can either go our whole lives letting others (family or society or gurus or videos or even this forum) tell us who we are and what to think, falling into traps and jumping onto bandwagons (trying to catch our own tail)....or we can STOP for one moment and say wait a minute, why am I assuming anyone else knows me better than I do? Or even reality? Just because others make you start questioning all your beliefs doesn’t mean you have to radically change your belief system to fit a “true” reality. That’s just another recipe for disaster. What if all you can really know is you cant know anything Why not take baby steps and focus on the things you want to change in your life. Question your assumptions and beliefs around each aspect you struggle with in that moment. Practice self love and look inward, for that’s where change is possible Also if you’re feeling down don’t forget, Paul (you), knows plenty of things to do to feel better, whether it’s helping someone else (maybe simply listening to a friend) , finding a good laugh or reading a good book. Whatever Paul likes to do, life can be enjoyed and not taken so seriously. thanks for reading but please don’t believe me either, I’m not you, or maybe I am

Recently I learned about dog training/rehabilitation and made the exact correlation ?? like dogs our brains aren’t always thinking as rationally as we like to assume. We can create boundaries, healthy/good habits, and work through trauma with the right awareness in relationships -

? unless you’re professor Moody in “Californiacation” and every word that rolls off your tongue is so smooth every woman is throwing themselves at you. He goes into interactions without a specific intention. I think this is very powerful in providing authenticity in a dynamic hahaha -

Heard this quote from someone and really like it “seek first to understand before being understood” all anyone including spiritual teachers can do is offer you a new perspective to consider, reflect on, and ultimately approach your circumstances with a new attitude (openness) if that is what the you really want, if not, maybe someone else listening will (if it’s a video) apply the seemingly counterintuitive outlook to form a needed personal idea personally I don’t feel making an emotional connection is necessary always especially if the teacher is already praised/worshipped/or simply trusted haha -

It’s crazy cuz you see people who never smile in pictures and you think damn I wish they’d smile. Maybe if they’d think about how silly it is to believe they don’t have a good smile, they’d show some true colors -
hehehe. It's all so beautiful isn't it? Everything plays it's part and it could not have been any other way. Tolle started me off on my spiritual journey as well, well sort of (alan watts was fun to try to figure out) as it lead to an awakening, but yeah after that I ran into Leo's work and it wasn't so easy to take it very seriously. Hicks came much later thanks to Nahm and well also Teal Swan. love/hate for them all and this community

well said! Everyone who comes to her doesn't really know what they want because they don't understand themselves and so there's the market. She's a freakin genius

@mandyjwHahaha tsuki speaking truth there, relatively, as for most people, they are lies because they use it to continue to delude themselves by giving the power away, continuously looking outside of themselves when clarity always comes from within but it just depends how it’s perceived
-
Wow this is a good discussion. @mandyjwdoes the Hicks actually talk about going into the vortex and leaving it? I guess it does, the thoughts of resistance huh? So I guess you can only think you’ve left the vortex when in actuality you can’t leave yourself. I’ve been experimenting with flow state for a long time and it’s been hitting me recently we create our own limitations and it’s really the only illusion of having left the vortex. Awesome tsuki you the man!

Cool man. Keep plugging away at your different interests, maybe look toward your hobbies for potential career aspects, you’ll find your niche. Also try not to analyze it so much, really feel your way into an area. Just think how much experience you gain from trying out new avenues, you may end up creating multiple businesses or doing some kind of consulting for the things you really support ❤️

All I’m sayin is we like to project our own suffering onto animals instead of trying to understand how they function/operate and behave. I was just listening to this podcast they we’re talking about how the Everglades python population has came into existence and skyrocketed in the last 10-15 years and there are hardly an raccoons or small mammals left so they are going after gators now. One was ingesting a gator and the gator split the snake open and survived with the help of another gator. They commented how nature is so brutal. We humans can be naive enough to think we are above it all

This quote came to mind while reading this: “I Wanted to Change the World When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family. Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.” Author: unknown monk around 1100 AD For me, self love has proven to be the biggest game changer

not sure what you mean by this, do you mean collective self and what depends? @Charlotteseems impossible not to take our human prejudices out of viewing the lives of other species. I think you posted on activism a while back. I suppose it has pros and cons like everything but it seems actual suffering always stems from identification/attachment to a belief. Does being vegan give you a sense of identity?
-
@now is foreverhaha good point! Could be a direct reflection of the way we treat ourselves, like society. We can only change society by changing ourselves and I suppose it only exists because we do ? That play sounds like it could be an ? opener. What’s really been hitting me hard lately is the fact that everything we think we need to do is selfish no matter what kind of spin we put on it
-
This is an interesting subject. I mean what’s the difference between animal suffering and human suffering? Could these animals even be able to distinguish different alternatives? Something so valuable we can learn from animals is their ability to accept what is (there situation) and not get caught up in the past or future of how we think it should be because it simply cannot be any other way, not in this moment
