There’s that need to change, shift away from, avoid, escape from what is become familiar with these states to understand what is an addiction and why we develop them

Deep wisdom here but it’s a challenge to understand and see in oneself theres also the “need to be right”

This always triggers me when you say this... Who's that which is not interested in society and other egos? It appears (to me) you have created limitations out of a belief in the Absolute YOU and this means you simply abandon yourself, others follow suit. Just because you think you can know it's all a game doesn't mean you aren't the game, no-game and part of it all at the same time

awareness, self honesty, separation, and starting new hobbies (does this sound like a good strategy?) most likely its self improvement which drives us here and if this is the case then the only actual self improvement we can create is through personal experience of course there are other reasons for being here such as contemplation and learning about the self, but it can be hard to notice when it’s actually holding us back from self actualizing

Misunderstanding for what an addiction is... addiction will be connected to one’s values, beliefs and fear. I think no fap is an amazing motivator, but so is an authentic interaction with a stranger

That’s a good book. Psychedelics not meant to work as a fixer drug like anti depressants or something but it has been known to open up new possibility/truths never considered or fully understood. And it’s also giving you access to a world never before seen and experienced. I didn’t have a good trip but the experience will never be forgotten, so I’m open to try again ?

@Bill W a world without masculinity? ? I propose you could make a list of the positive benefits of masculinity in society and even consider look into your own masculine traits, good and bad, maybe there’s opportunity for shadow work

Uh oh, more projections! Come on man, at least admit to where you stand! I’ve only done psychedelics once in my life and it was before ever learning about spirituality. That one experience did however show me what they are capable of helping us do for ourselves

Serious spiritual school is all about discipline, no? This forum is more like regular life with freedom of speech, but this doesn’t mean we still don’t get slapped psychologically/emotionally

It will conjoin on its own through the shift in understanding ourselves in relation to societies created limitations. Not sure when these limits will be reached that will force the majority to turn focus back around inward but I assume it will be a response to the cultural affects from technology SD model, hmm I would say the personal experience of one’s life
