  1. @EntheogenTruthSeeker this above ^ Play the part according to the playing field you're in.
  2. Lol well quite a wonky one. Gotta love the listening music The dreams on my end land more on the vivid end than that of lucid. Vivid is all sort of wonky n fun... But lucid is something else... Hope i get some lucids to add here.
  3. Your interest in what the mind is saying... That's the issue. It pulls your attention in. Say in a waiting room to see your doctor, there's a TV and Dora the Explorer or some cartoon show you don't give a shit about, you'll naturally find something else to kill time with or read a magazine etc But if the TV is showing news on your favourite sports team game is on you will be drawn into it. So the amount of thoughts is not really the issue, although fewer thoughts help sure... But it's what's playing on the screen of your mind which pulls your attention in and disturbs the meditation/focusing on the silence.
  4. Searching for darkness with a flashlight Once the battery runs out, darkness is revealed. Darkness is found when the searching ends, not before that. Often times, we must first search and exhaust the batteries in the flashlight, exhaust the search completely before we find what was available at all times. It is clear that the act of searching for darkness with a flashlight is not what led to its discovery... It is the ending of that search. Sometimes, stopping of the search eaely upon hearing that searching is what's keeping you from discovering darkness we may simply only stop searching but the flashlight is still on and thus keeping us from the darkness we seek. The key insight is also KNOWING what it is which is being sought... Most do not know... Like fish searching for water... The ignorance of what water is in the first place begins the search. Truth is always available... But sometimes we must dance full circle before seeing the glasses on our face the whole time & realize it was being overlooked. What's guaranteed is that the batteries eventually will & must run out. But the timeline, well that's wiggly
  5. Yes... And more often than not, practices are required which lead one to stumbling upon this finding. Effort is required initially... R. Maharshi: "There is a state beyond our efforts or effortlessness. Until it is realised effort is necessary." It is premature to preach openly and as an absolute teaching that all practices are useless... All teachings are contemporary and relative. And yes. To no-one How cool is that !! And of course, "cool" is a creation of the Mind. Even mind is a creation of the Mind
  6. You can be free and be practicing I practice of my jump shot daily bro
  7. @King Merk same as sounds Close your eyes. Where do sounds around you arise from? Smell. Taste. Sight. All within you, as you said All from the source. Or nothing/void/ potential. Same with thoughts. Mind is another sense.. like ur ears, nose etc It picks up/hears/understands thoughts to YOU. And yes. Thoughts simply arise. The entire experience is ONE ARISING in YOU.
  8. The right hand wonders if the left hand is consious. It's not the hands... It is you, who is consious and present in & thru all!
  9. You are a reader, reading the book to find himself. You only know and can only know the world of the book. You are not in the book, you are the one reading it! You cannot see yourself or find yourself. You can only realize that you are already and have always been yourself. Your thinking that you will find yourself in the next page, or the next chapter or the next book in the series is what's keeping you from discovering that you are yourself right now! You, the reader are self aware but overtime have been pulled so deeply into the world of the book you're reading that you think you are the main character in the book. The character in the book cannot know you, only you can know you. The mistake is trying to know yourself as the character... The impossibility of a protagonist in a book being able to find/know the reader is quite obvious. End your futile search and recognize your ever-present self now! You are already that! If only there was a page in the book which had no paper or words but a mirror, you would get a gilmpse of yourself. Maybe you're reading that page right now? ?
