  1. This right here and manily your Threads Title is the issue What can "I" do to remove the ego? That's you saying "what can I do to remove myself? What can I do to remove I? You see the problem
  2. "If you are looking for your True Self it can be only where you are. The play of the seeker is like looking for the Darkness with a Lamp." - Mauro Bergonzi
  3. @Aaron p i wish it was as easy as switching off the lamp sure, when the lamp is out, the darkness is revealed but "switching the lamp off" would be an action an action or a doing will not accomplish the goal. any action or movement gives fuel to the Lamp to keep it lit. what is required, instead, is a "non-action" / "non-doing" which is not an "easy task" it's the "relaxation of a doing". the doing you/I are doing right now, which is mind chatter/labelling. we tell ourselves, oh, let's put the lamp out and then we will find what we are seeking. then we start looking at ways to turn the lamp of (which in turn is keeping it lit and adding more fuel to it) this needs to be overcome somehow
  4. @MiracleMan yes. agreed. the utter simplicity of this is what makes it so hard to grasp i like how rupert spira puts it. he says that our attention on object in a doing the seeker asks "how to" get enlightenment... how to do it... the thing is that enlightenment is not something which one gets by doing... it's rather, an un-doing which reveals the Truth the undoing is a relaxation of the attention rupert says imagine that the state you currently are in is that of a clenched fist. clenching is an effort. you have to "let go" or relax the hand for it to open, you have to stop the muslces from clenching it. when you are "stopping" that's not an effort or a doing. it's the unplugging of the flow of the effort so both you and I get this now. if only you and I can get "there"
  5. @cetus56 wow that was a good one This Hide and Seek is a tricky bidness indeed!
  6. @cetus56 <3 if those worlds are me, I'm in safe hands <3
  7. easier said than done? lol have read reports about entities grabbing a hold (physical hold) of the dude's arms and taking turns to rape the poor dude sure. you try to not be afraid... but what to do about the demon dick in ur dumpster? lolol @cetus56 you mean with pursing meditation in general? or a certain face of reality like the "dark realm"? what exactly are you referring to when you say venture into THIS i am not looking to venture into that i am looking to avoid that if i can and I WILL (inshaa allah) i am actually overcome my childhood fear of these things, but still get the gibber jabbers from time to time when faced with turning off the light before coming up the basement's steps at night hold habbits die hard? another thing, to overcome a fear, it must be faced, not avoided. avoiding it = postponing it
  8. mind isn't anti-truth per se... mind is a part of the truth. it is a sub-set and truth is the super-set. part cannot understand the whole to understand the whole, you must become the whole
  9. @MiracleMan him and Tony Parsons both they have a different spin on the whole non-duality but that teaching is hard to follow in my opinion or at least for me an enlightened person will know what they are talking about . but to someone just starting, their work can likely go over their head.
  10. mine too not the only. but one of my Favs along with Muh Fukkin Leo <3, Mooji and a bit of Adyashanti
  11. @cirkussmile @PsiloPutty @Mart question please Leo said in his videos about meditation that one should start meditation of at least 20 mins a day, everyday, no breaks in between while doing this - he said slowly but surely insights and "gains" will occur did you try this process? if i just sit each day and do the 20 mins "do-nothing" meditation for a year. is that potential for some change in personal devleopment? or shud i do another 20 minute mediation instead of do-nothing thanks
  12. @cetus56 question for you please since all of reality, even our current "normal" and "day-to-day" sober states are a hallucination then does it mean that if i get a monster/alien/demon appear infront of me during meditation or something then it will look 100% "real" as the people around me currently do? and if that's the case, then how does one "surrender" to that... ? like just becoming aware that it is nothing but a mind-trick? but since what we experience is what is "real" - how can i negate the experience of a dark entity which i am seeing in-front of my eyes and heck, that thing even touching or harming me ? is that not equal to me denying or accepting a "real-life" happening . let's say if i am being robbed at gun point. ? in writiing this question a thought/potential answer came to mind that it isn't negating the experience - it is accepting that it is happening? dont resist/panic. stay calm and accept? smile in the face of the demon? i suppose that smile can only really do something if it's genuine at that point otherwise fear cannot be hidden from your own mind i guess ...
  13. Hi All I know there are an Infinite number of paths to the lasting-enlightenment state... This is what I have learned thus far in regards to its major checkpoints in a timeline kind scale. Note, these are the main checkpoints only and only showing the direction of getting closer and closer to enlightenment - in real situations, there maybe sub-states in between or a movement away from enlightenment. Also, the final level (see below) really has no limit, but's it's the final check point after which sky is the limit to how deep your understanding goes. Here it is. 1. Start: average person today fully at the I am the body-mind paradigm. 2. Next checkpoint: learning about spirituality and the concepts 3. Next: having deeper intellectual understanding of these concepts - having small doses of insights and unquestionable realizations 4. Next (major): getting the 1st glimpse of the Truth via practices or just spontaneous or even with psychedelics 5. Next (state over a period of time): integration after having learned about One's actual being post glimpse/awakening 6. Final (but not last - sky is the limit): end of seeking / enlightenment 7. ?????????? ... AND DEEPER AND DEEPER AND DEEPER... ??????????
  14. @How to be wise yes. agreed. not wondering about it at all. i just have this understanding that all is possible. that ends the question of "what-if"
  15. but isn't it the case that all is possible? all perspectives are true and exist
  16. @DecemberFlower I'd say from our point of view / perspective, it is nothing more than a speculation if they are or aren't enlightened. But knowing that Absolute Infinite includes all that can be / is possible and that there is no limit to what is possible since there exists nothing which can impose a limit on the absolute, then it also must include the possibility where animals both have an ego and do not have an ego. All possibilities are. God/Infinite One knows all possible experiences. So it must include the experience of a pig being slaughtered and not feeling any "pain/suffering" and also include the possibility of the pig being slaughtered and feeling every single cut/mince/suffering pain of that experience. there is no absolute single relative perspective - ALL possibilities are present.
  17. @PsiloPutty i hope nightmares leading to deep insights
  18. i have read this on the forum, in YouTube comment sections and many other places about trying to introduce or talk to friends/family about this field and failing i had pretty much the same lol i think i have figured that i just need to plant the seed, which i have, and even though they couldn't understand me in that moment and had lots of questions like okay, so i am not my body-mind, now what? lol etc etc... so with the seed of this idea planted. when they start seeing something in their life which brings them to this memory, they will approach me on their own and only then is the info being given is receptive and actually heard throughout any of you have had similar thing with this? also any tips or advice to how i can better explain this topic to someone who is intrigued, but i am unable to really zero in on one thing to talk about? what do i start of with ? we are all one? you are not the body-mind? you don't exist? suffering will end with this knowledge/purist? deep useful life changing insights can be had by meditation and other practices? 5meo-dmt / dmt 5-LeO-DMT unsure how to really open this Pandora box to them - all of this pops out of it together really as far as i am concerned. what is a good leo video to start someone off on this whole consciousness work. i have found leo's content sometime last year. haven't seen a lot of his older videos but his old content also involved dating stuff and other general life work any good starting point video from where leo first started mainly talking about non-duality/consciousness which i can show a friend as i believe Leo's video would do a great job vs me throwing random gems to them which my ego finds very useful and epic
  19. Question. And I'm going extreme here to try and fully get a black and white answer. Is it possible for a fully deeply enlightened being to "love/fully accept" physcial pain/torture? Like if some opposition to the enlightened person kidnaps him, and ties him up and then starts to cut his fingers one by one. Can that physical pain be transcended in theory? I recall reading some story of a guy back in 900 A.D. who became enlightened and was executed for his "ridiculous" claims - misunderstood that he was saying that he is God... But yeah, Mansur Al Hajjaj I think his name Here's one version of his execution. Very powerful. They cut his hands, he laughed, they asked him why are you laughing? He replied: it’s easy to cut the hands of a prisoner, if you are a real man cut my hands of reaching higher (spiritually higher, God or something like that). They cut his feet, he laughed and said : I walk on earth with this feet, if you can, cut my feet by which I travel beyond this earth. Then he daub his face with his blood, they asked why are you doing this? he replied: I’m bleeding and my face is pale, I don’t want you to think that my paleness is because I’m afraid. Then they cut out his eyes, his tongue, nose, and before cutting his head he smiled and died finally. I guess depending on the level of dis-attachment from the body-mind, pain can be transcended? The body will wear down n break as a robot might when u are hammering away at it. But no Trouble of pain...
  20. @Jack River when the movement of anxiety is seen to be an impersonal movement? Is that what you're saying? Also, is what you are saying here a different face of truth vs coming to the realization that there is no "I" ? This means ego death? End of seeking? Or a level much below yet still very profound step up?
  21. i try to embody the STAY IN THE NOW and BEING PRESENT concepts in my day to day life so yesterday, i was with a friend and we got high in downtown area of the city a quick important fact: so this friend likes to keep his getting high affairs very private. and does not want anyone he knows to find out - other than a select few he shares the experience with. so when we got high and it started kicking in, my friend became very paranoid, wondering WHAT IF we see someone we know, who will then see that we are high, see our red eyes, the smell etc (we had sprayed perfume, also eye drops to make the redness go away) but he was also worried about how he will talk/act in-front of them IF we were to bump-into someone i tried using that chance to explain that CROSS THAT BRIDGE WHEN WE GET THERE but it didn't work lol so at the end, the whole of his 2-3 hours we spent walking about, eating, chilling were spent in fear/paranoia vs me, i was 100% carefree and in the NOW. not projecting or worrying about what was to come. just being present after the fact today when i spoke with him and explained that look, nothing happened at all. we didn't bump into anyone we knew or none of his what-ifs occurred. but thinking about them, he just made his current experience at the time not very enjoyable as it was full of fear. but he asked me one question to which i am not sure how to respond appropriately he said what if in his case we did meet someone we knew, say a family member or family friend who may tell his parents or whatever (as i said, he is very private about this getting high affair) so he said, what would we say then? is worrying not equal to having a plan or idea as to what to say when something DOES happen so you are prepared for it? vs just being stuck not knowing what to say etc etc so if I am just staying in the NOW... am I leaving myself unprepared for a negative event unforeseen by me? what could i have told him about how he could just be in the NOW and not worry and STILL be prepared and OK in terms of what to do/say if that unfavorable event was to present itself? i personally like to think / believe that by NOT thinking about something / being in the NOW you are also stopping that un-thought-of event from manifesting... as our thoughts/mind manifest what we expect or think or worry about so is this how on the higher level staying truly in the NOW helps? because all you think about is positive/happy stuff and nothing negative occurs for you and that way you aint gotta worry about any preparedness because what can you really prepare for? an infinite amount of things can happen to you at anytime, can you be prepared for all of them? we may not be able to be prepared for everything that happens to us but we can control what DOES happen to us but only thinking about the positive and using that good ol law of attraction to only get that positive for which it just needs to be lived thru and no action/contingency plan needs to be thought up
