  1. I clearly said in the post that I don't believe in a fixed role, and I want men to be free to be whatever they want. Even feminine if they want to (in fact I'm also exploring my feminine side).
  2. @Leo Gura you mentioned in your book reviews that developing consciousness and spirituality a lot of times doesn't affect the shadow, which needs a western approach to be healed (therapy, shadow work). Why is that? Shouldn't enlightenment practice cast the light of awareness on the shadow too?
  3. Elliott hulse has had a huge ego backlash in terms of spiral dynamics. Mainly because of green shadows. Elliott was definitely at a full stage orange in the past, judging from old videos. Now, because of his fear of post-modernism and humanitarian values, he is regressing deeply into stage blue, also bringing with him a green shadow. I would also dare to say an orange/green shadow. An excellent involution study case.
  4. @Leo Gura I've been going out since february to learn how to socialize with women, but also find new friends in general. I wanted to say THANK YOU for this post. It has energized me and re-motivated me to remain on this path and become a better social and pleasant young man. I really hope you can give other insights in the dating section in the future
  5. Thanks. I'm already doing 20 mins of concentration. I generally can concentrate on bhrumadhya with closed eyes, no problem. But what about the strong egoic pessimism (part of my usual identity)? Why do I get hit by it?
  6. I've been doing Kriya (by stevens) for two months now, everyday, for about 35 mins total of session. I've had some minor results like a slightly better social awareness and social flow state, and better discipline in my life. But no other results. A side effect I'm getting is that a lot of mornings I wake up very moody and dark, and I feel my pessimistic ego coming back. Is this normal or is this a sign of doing it wrong? (I'm very peaceful and still immediately after yoga, btw).
  7. Serious topic. And I'm not a religious person, I'm using a spiritual perspective. Was god realizing that it was surrounded by emptiness and absolute void and stillness that it created reality and Becoming (as opposed to being)? Was the existential void so still and anonymous that god had to "escape" it by creating? @Leo Gura you may know the answer
  8. What do you mean? That god is trying to experience mortality?
  9. Nice! So I can improvise as much as I want, as long as it is focused on the end goal.
  10. I am using visualization to build new habits and become motivated for new projects. But I have some doubts: - Can I have multiple visualization scenarios for the same goal? Let's say you want to become good ad guitar, can you have 3-4 different movie sequences that you play in your mind in different days? Like, monday you play the sequence where you play a good song, tuesday you study a hard song, wednesday you are on a small stage etc, and so on on repeat. - Do I have to play the scenario in the EXACT same way or can I freestyle it while keeping it more or less the same? Example: you play the hard song, but the first day you visualize the end of the song, the next day you visualize that you start the song and are excited etc... Share what works for you!
  11. I'm learning game, but I almost always go out alone, since I don't really have a wingman. Do I need one to become good and get success in my dating life? Leo, what's your experience?
  12. Definitely. And almost only orange. Atheist, scientifically minded, classic liberal, huge freedom advocate. No surprise that progressives are calling him nazi and all that BS. Green has the problem of mixing stage blue and orange together.
  13. From what I can see, the 60s hippie culture, even though it was green, opened the gates for a solid orange society. For example: rock and roll, drugs, free sex, hedonistic lifestyle, pursuit of pleasure and success etc. The western world was not ready for stage green, so society moved into a more classic liberal mindset (atheism, science and social freedom).
  14. Is it an ego defense mechanism? Or is it a natural byproduct of relaxation?
  15. Sorry for being late! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Leo!
  16. I hope so. I've been doing it for a month and a half without problems and I still have the same enthusiasm to this day. I certainly have a lot of motivation for this practice.
  17. @Leo Gura bu the way, did you start alone or immediately with a wing?
  18. Yes, I'm already doing it It's been a month and half now. But I'm doing it, I have no other choice, I want to learn.
  19. I have a noob question for @Leo Gura and other users who have experience. Leo, in the blog video, says that kriya is better for advanced people in the self help field. I'm a noob, I practice pickup (still noob) and shamanic breathing, and study marketing and a lot of basic tony robbins material. Is kriya still ok for me? I've been doing kriya for a month now and I've already seen some benefits, especially becoming A LOT more authentic and expressive with people, which is by the way the reason i started it (for pickup, socializing with new friends, and becoming more energetic and clear in my mind). I personally don't feel like quitting, my breathing and spine is benefitting too. Should I practice kriya only when I'm advanced at self help or is it ok even now as a beginner?
  20. Below 10 I don't know. At 12 my parents divorced and it's been very sad and damaging because they fought a lot in that year. As a kid my self esteem was medium-low, but after the divorce it became definitely low and made me very neurotic. By the way, the shaking I experience is not continuous, but just 2-3 seconds, and as soon as I stop breathing it stops. Like some kind of soft way of the body to make me interrupt the breathwork.
  21. Noob sticking point: I've been practicing this breathing for 5 weeks now, only on Sundays. 1st session was 20 minutes straight! 2nd session was 25 minutes! At the third session something absurd happened. I lost all my gained stamina and i did only 5 minutes. 4th session: 5 minutes again. Then i lost all energies and my body reacted very bad by giving me HARD SHAKING! 5th session: i regained a bit of stamina. 9 minutes. Then the hard shaking made me stop. Why did i lose all the excellent stamina I had in the beginning? Why the shaking? Some of you have explanations?
  22. Thanks @Leo Gura! But can I get good results if I choose to practice solo?
  23. Confusing title, I'm gonna explain. If you decide to be completely authentic and vulnerable with your girl, is this going to scare her away or make her think that she's in a couple with a loser? I mean, girls tend to like detached and cold guys, because they like the strength and the non-emotional attitude. I see that girls like to share THEIR own emotions with their bf a lot. Because they are feminine and so on. But I don't see girls generally liking if their boyfriend shares his ups and downs, joys and sorrows in life. Do girls just want to share their own emotions and want the guy to remain stoic? Is it a turn-off for girls if you look for empathy and emotional warmth? In a nutshell, is sharing vulnerability a one-way street? (girl to boy, but not the other way back)
  24. In my opinion it depends. It's not all black and white. For example, I am both very intellectual and emotional, I've always been both a nerdy thinker and an emotional guy, I love playing music and talking about emotions, but also science and analytical stuff, since I was a kid. The emotional and intellectual blueprints are not mutually exclusive, there are people who have both. Regarding a partner, I noticed in my life that I connect only with emotional girls with at least some kind of intellectual and brainy dimensions. But the emotional baseline is the most important one for me in a woman. I can't stand a cold-thinking woman as a partner.
  25. Thanks again, great concepts and insights.
