  1. Have a cry and get some sleep. You are creating your suffering by wanting things.
  2. I'm not offended. I think Leo is the man, but his videos are not for everyone in my experience.
  3. You don't observe duality from your perspective? I don't really need to believe anything to feel the difference of drinking cool water vs warm water. Edit: I enjoy reading both Joseph Maynor and Faceless' post. But y'all have me laughing with your seriousness. I like what Truth Addict said: life = duality = non duality. Also I enjoy the memes @Truth , but I can see how it doesn't help the energy behind these posts, but that's alright. I also see how hilarious it is! DUALITY
  4. yes actually. I laughed a lot when I realized it was all me.
  5. EVERYTHING or "God is conceived of as the Supreme Being and the principal object of faith.[3] The concept of God, as described by theologians, commonly includes the attributes of omniscience (all-knowing), omnipotence (unlimited power), omnipresence (present everywhere), and as having an eternal and necessary existence" - wiki. Many ways to conceptualize God really.
  6. But the whole point of video is to point out that Intelligence cannot be Boxed in. Science has failed to capture intelligence in its purity. To paraphrase Leo, science has only captured an aspect of intelligence. Not true in my experience. God is experienced through consciousness which is the foundation of experience. There is no need to do anything. Leo is just using words to express a quality about existence, but he is only doing this to communicate it to people, not to actually box intelligence, that would be impossible or inevitably inaccurate because intelligence in its pure state is impossible to grasp, like a tongue trying to taste itself. You are also not considering what made humans and what made humans to think. But I wouldn't even try to figure this out with thought. Leo is doing a service for the western world by bringing spirituality into the domain of rationality and English. Just because Leo is not enlightened doesn't mean he does not have ideas to share that can help other grow. In addition, Leo does not even encourage individuals to grasp truth via logical mind. He explicitly encourages individuals to experience this himself via consciousness.
  7. Meaning is relative. At higher states of consciousness life becomes meaningless because Life is life. Your sense of self grows bigger at higher levels of consciousness so your perspective become wider and so there is less ego derived missions, thus egoic goals and beliefs lose meaning. So everything that is meaningful as a human dissolves at higher states because meaning is derived from ego or a perspective. Hard to say though, Universe created human, ego, and eventually meanings. Yin-Yang. It is interwoven into each other. Can't have meaning without meaninglessness.
  8. I unconditionally accept Leo in his communication. Like another poster said, it felt like Leo was being honest and authentic about his experience. Leo's discussion about psychedelics is correct and it falls in line with my experience. I think at the end of the day, we just gotta do our best for ourselves. We have techniques for raising consciousness like meditation, yoga, psychedelics... Everyone practice it as much as you can, if you don't get enlightened, it doesn't mean you won't find gems and peaks, about who we are. On a material level, who knows what this could mean for our genes and future generations potential to become enlightened.
  9. You tell me? Do you not feed and care for yourself? Were you not born with a given name and surrounded by a society with a bunch of similar looking people who also have given names? Did you not get on your computer to type in your reply? separation and egos are appearances and at a higher consciousness level they do dissipate. But “normal” consciousness is still a thing. Survival is still a thing. What is real is relative to where consciousness is at. On normal days, my actions DO effect other apparent beings. I can make my mom cry by saying Who i am is an idea and I’m not actually real. So I’ll just fast till death. I’ve envisioned already, but what is the point of that anyways. If I am not ego and ego is illusion, I’m already dead. Doesn’t matter what I believe I am. So I live the egoic life that is and exists on this level. A lot of gurus and people here will proclaim that content is distraction, yeah if you’re mission is to see ultimate truth, otherwise it is also beauty and a reflection of the ultimate truth And after a few awakening experiences, I’m not about to give up relationships I’ve created. It doesn’t really matter what game I play, egoless game or ego game. I’m still alive and the universe/God is living through “me”. its more complicated than my words can display. But at the end of the day, content is still here and it’s asking and coaxing itself to play along. So I, Sgt. Pepper play along. Knowing full well deep inside lies my real whole being, that is everything.
  10. I agree that the ego is not a mistake. its there!
  11. God exists. God created everything that is in existence and God is existence. Simple as that. like.. what do you mean no such thing as God. Look around you. It just is. and what that IS, is God. Now if you want to call it Brahman, or ISness or Being. Whatever, but I call it God because I like it. I saw a comment saying that is projection, I agree, but everything is projection? God projects himself on to himself for himself, he's spectacular like that.
  12. I'm looking forward to his new insights. I definitely miss his weekly videos.
  13. Thank you! I've also been wondering this myself. @captainamerica I haven't seen any books on the booklist that indicate channeling, but he has a paranormal list and it includes books on astral projection and cool stuff like that.
  14. Heck, I'd even say, you're not truly in a meditative state unless you get rid of psychological time.
  15. Then you did not watch it closely enough. You asked for scientific research and that video has numerous sources (neuroscience) showing physical changes in the brain from 8 weeks of practice as well as improved length of telomeres. I don't see placebo doing any of that? It's not placebo because its not founded on belief or thinking. Meditation is literally an active process of self-regulation. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/11/151110171600.htm https://www.quora.com/Does-meditation-really-help-or-is-just-a-placebo
  16. It's not placebo... a regular meditation practice physical changes the brain structure and its connections. I don't even know how we are arguing this. Placebo can be succinctly defined "a beneficial effect, produced by a placebo drug or treatment, that cannot be attributed to the properties of the placebo itself, and must therefore be due to the patient's belief in that treatment." - google. Meditation is not about belief, there's no belief involved. Meditation forces you to have discipline, sit still, and quiet your mind. It's can be pretty much described as voluntary self-regulation. Performing actions such as these over and over causes physical changes in the brain, the same way that physical exercise will cause physical changes to the body and brain. It's way beyond belief and have you met any meditation masters? that level of attitude is not from placebo lol. I have feel that you must be very new to this practice or have little experience to think it is placebo when it clearly re-organizs your mind/brain each session.
  17. Hahaha yessss. I remember you posted last week about your first trip with LSD. I am happy to see you have tried it and that you had a mind-opening experience. I think it's pretty wild that you did ~450ug your first time (doing psychedelics?) thats a powerful dose. I can really relate to a lot of what you are saying in the post. It just goes to show how powerful psychedelics are at bringing you to the present and getting a good idea of what reality actually is. Sometimes it can be difficult to describe and pinpoint even consciously, which is why I think it is so important to have multiple experiences and have a daily meditation practice to increase focus and mindfulness. Thanks for sharing!
  18. I mean. Yeah you're right. I wouldn't say its like psychedelics, but It has a psychedelic qualities in the sense that it changes how you perceive things, colors get vibrant, and I had some deep experiences meditating with it. But I ultimately agree with what you're saying. I did not even know they had scientific evidence regarding non-dual states, I will definitely check this out! I think so too. I am not denying bad trips. People can definitely have bad experiences on them and be traumatized by them, but I always saw this a consequence of their personality, or set and setting. For example, it appears to me that people who can "go with the flow" are much more tolerant of the experience whereas someone who is rigid and requires control may freak out on them. Ultimately, its different for everyone and I am not interested in boxing people. I am only amazed each time I trip
  19. and you've had 0 mystical experiences?! . I do not think I would have even gotten into spirituality or at the level of understanding I am at with non-duality without psychedelics. Welp, everyone is different. Weed to me can be pretty psychedelic... especially when ingesting large amounts at once like a dab, but it makes my mind hazy, so I do not get clear insights like I do on mushroom and LSD.
  20. I have yet to hear a spiritual teacher say that enlightening is anything but a silent mind. The kundalini model is cool and useful, there is still much I have to learn about it, but it's still a model at the end of the day. There's nothing silent about worrying or thinking about these things. As @Prabhaker as said, its about doing these practices properly. Celibacy is ridiculous. Life is meant to be lived. There is nothing normal about excessively repressing one's nature.
  21. @Outer Have you tried any psychedelic? I am pretty sure Leo's experimentation with 5-meo is an attempt to go where no person/teacher has gone before. He has said that he wants to find whether or not 5-meo produces enlightening, helps with enlightenment, or does not. It's pretty much a scientific experiment with himself.
  22. From a psychology perspective. It is because you reinforce his behavior by giving him money, thus rewarding him for his behavior. What else is he going to do? He may be doing it to have contact with you, but at the end of the day he intuitively knows he can forget his money because you will give him money and then he will pay you back, its a cycle like any other.
