Man... I am sorry to hear that. I apologize for assuming, you didn't try psychedelics, it just appeared that way from your post since I have never seen pink elephants or anything close to that on psychs. Psychedelics can definitely be challenging. I have also contemplated suicide from many angles myself many times with and without psychedelics. Delusions are definitely possible on psychedelics, but I see that as coming from the mind and not psychedelics themselves. It's better to ignore all of those interpretation - quiet the mind- and embrace breathing and being. -

I agree with everything you said. Psychedelics were why I even got into meditation which lead me to finding actualized.org (Leo's how to meditate video). I definitely felt conflicted when Leo originally claimed psychedelics were a distraction, but I still could not shake my personal experiences and kept doing them anyways for consciousness expanding purposes. When Leo came out advocating psychedelics, I was literally shocked and even more excited than I already was to see where his videos were going. -

1. Just from your post, I can easily tell you have not tried psychedelics. Pink elephants? your placing faith in propaganda instead of your direct experience. 2. That's because psychedelics are a tool like anything else. set and setting needs to be accounted for. So if a seeker wants to gain insights into reality, he should set the intention to contemplate what is happening in his/her direct experience while on a psychedelic, as well as do it in a space where contemplation can be done. In addition, many people do not easily go beyond the ego because they do not take higher doses. Most recreational users I know don't go higher than 2.5-3.5g of mushrooms or 150ug of LSD. They distract themselves with movies and video games or they may end up confused by what they experience. Psychedelics are complicated to describe, but they essentially raise your 'consciousness level'. To OP, I have actually wrestled with the same question you are asking and seeking enlightenment is definitely a niche path. At the moment, I am content with my psychedelic adventures and daily sober meditation practice (although sometimes I miss, need to work on discipline). I have always been naturally curious about the universe, reality, and God since I was a kid. As a result, my lifestyle has been giving me many insights into reality. I am often in congruence with Leo's video, but definitely feel he has more depth in understanding reality. Being 23, I do not feel I am a point where I can devote my life to becoming enlightenment (meditating 4 hours+ a day) because I still have a career to build and I want the wife-children set up. However, my practices have been sufficient, I have gotten DEEP non-duality experiences and insights about myself and the universe through my practices. I advocate psychedelics because they've definitely sped up the process. However, it can easily change. I would say enlightenment path is worth it. You're essentially asking whether knowing the Truth is a waste of time or not. Just answer that for yourself and then let your intuition guide you. -

what is your issue? It seems like you're just looking for conflict. Also, It's so easy to criticize others... -

have you considered traveling somewhere else to try it? I understand if you can't financially, but psychedelics are seriously worth your time if you can. An ayahuasca retreat for example would be a wonderful experience. You can also go to South America and find someone like Dr. Octavio to receive 5-meo DMT from the toads: -

excellent question. Really helped clarify. Thanks for posting! -
yes of course my dude! I'd recommend seeking mental health services that don't require medication, a psychologist or counselor is a good choice!

when it comes to psychedelics. Gurus dont know anything. They've literally spent no time or experience studying its effects. One guru says it dull the system. LSD apparently has no effect on Maharaji cause he's so enlightened. Another person on this forums told me they act like fire works! so which is it? lol I could see his point for marijuana, but marijuana and psychedelics (LSD and psilocybin) are very different. Edit: I am pretty sure OP supports sev3rige. so c'mon dude, if you'll try raw foods like that, you can try some psychedelics yourself. There's no need to wonder if its trick. Try it for yourself and see if that assumption still holds. Spoiler Alert: Everyone I know who has tried psychedelics has ALWAYS been wrong about their assumptions regarding their potential and effects before they tried it.

I think your overreacting and completely misconstruing Leo's words.

I guess when you RE-CONTEXTUALIZE it like that, it's not so bad. I have never been to one, so my judgment strictly comes from what I see in movies. -

yeah I'm going to agree with Joseph Mayor here. I do not think it should be illegal or anything like that. I personally have never attended one because its not an authentic place as others have pointed out. It cost a lot of money, and I don't really like the culture of objectification. I am biased though, I have been in a loving relationship for the last 7 years, so I kind of have my needs for the opposite sex met. -
"The deep web,[1] invisible web,[2] or hidden web[3] are parts of the World Wide Web whose contents are not indexed by standard web search engines for any reason.[4] The opposite term to the deep web is the surface web, which is accessible to anyone using the Internet." - wikipedia Dark Web is absolutely real. It's not government owned, its the same shady stuff humans have been doing for centuries but on the internet with digital security to protect identity. People do sell stuff like drugs, fake passports, or otherwise very illegal stuff... hitman, you name it. It's not really an organization as it is more than just people getting together to do unconventional discussions or business. However, there are websites that are only found with deep web access and that would be an organization, for example like Silk Road. You can look a lot of this stuff up, but yeah it's real. If you were motivated enough, you could probably buy a legit looking Passport, from a competent person.

are you breathing during your movements? make sure you are exhaling when extorting force and inhaling when setting up for another pull.
-
It's cause you want to connect with the opposite sex. Nothing wrong with that.

I enjoy it casually because I enjoy the competitive nature and skills involved to play. -

this is why I'm hesitant to go full vegan. I like plant foods and consume a good amount throughout the week. Kale, lettuce, tomato, beans, quinoa, broccoli, but I'll still have fish and chicken on the side. I don't really see how supplementation is the best way to go when it's laboratory produced vitamins.

egalitarianism is better

I don't think they're is anything wrong with it. I also play music while on psychedelics. I don't have a particular playlist, I prefer to listen to albums as a whole. I like to listen to a lot of 60s classic rock during my trips since the time period was heavily influenced by psychedelics like: the Beatles, beach boys, the doors, Pink Floyd. Tame Impala is cool too. Albums I've listened to while on LSD: Dark side of the moon Animals Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band Rubber Soul Revolver The White Album P.S. I do not listen to every song, Ill usually listen to half of the album before I'm ready to do something else or I skip to particular songs I like.

YES! This thread is hot. I was trying to make this point on the forum a couple of days ago, but that particular thread was shut down. -

I am for balance. Contemporary feminism sometimes can comes off as anti-man though and is only pro-feminine. I prefer egalitarianism. Nobody discusses issues faced by males. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men's_rights_movement -

How do you know it is placebo effect? that is a valuable and worthy conclusion. However, what if we could actually create it chakras or energy fields just by envisioning it and it becomes as real as real gets on a different plane of reality. Then as you constantly stimulate that area with those particular emotions, one's body can adapt and associate a body area with particular energy thus bringing it into reality for the user. It can then be an outlet to help resolve emotions and personal difficulties? I've seen people call it placebo, but it doesn't really address the utility and power of how our mind creates reality. Just in the same way that a child can confidently feel he/she is safe because he is wrapped in a blanket. OR that he is not alone because he/she has a stuffed animal that they can talk to.
