  1. Interesting, I'll check out the book. Not really sure why you're against community though. I haven't read the book, but is it not possible that we can collectively extend our idea of the state. Specifically, we can connect the general public to the state in such a way that it can hold the state more accountable than it already is. Additionally, why not acknowledge the good things government has done such as providing roads, education, and general appliances at an affordable rate for everyone?
  2. I just try my best to stay mindful. Being present, recognizing my internal state, and allowing myself to be the witness, not getting lost in the content too much. Breathe and then breathe again. Feel the union and continue. I try to do it multiple times a day, but it's not mechanical either... I just enjoy doing it. I usually do this when I notice that I am lost in monkey mind. edit: you may find times in your day where there is a break to take a breather, like let's say when you use the bathroom at work or if you're in a social event. This is a perfect time, to breathe and get centered within yourself.
  3. your conception of enlightenment is that a person is either enlightened or not. It's black and white thinking. I don't need to tell myself any stories because reality cannot fit into a story, it speaks for itself. My claim is that enlightenment/awakenings does have degrees and not because Leo says so. I literally feel more aware/awake than I did 3 years ago. your claim is that enlightenment does not have degrees to it. You said my view of enlightenment is just a story I tell myself, but you don't explain why your view of enlightenment is not a story and is instead the truer claim. You just have a quote by Osho who is just one teacher out of many. Sorry if I'm projecting, I'm just not understanding why you think a person is either enlightened or not and can only fit these two categories. Then it appears that you are indirectly saying that those who see awakenings/enlightenment as having degrees as being arrogant and pretentious. How do you know? In one way it is very simple, in another it's really not, that's why we're having this discussion. Thats why we can spend hours discussing this topic as people do all over the world.
  4. Over my dead body. Leo is right about survival. I'd savagely kill someone before they take my baby. The only person I want raising my child is me and a person I trust. (relatively speaking, I understand public school and society has an impact on a child's worldview), but I want my kid to come home, share his day and learn from my ideology (like anybody else here). and if no one is "taking" anyone's babies then why would anybody voluntarily give their babies to people they don't know and miss out on experience of raising a child? Your vision is not wholesome and down to earth from my perspective. This world is filled with Light, but it is also filled with Dark and some people, whether they are spiritual or not, will abuse and take advantage of the vulnerable.
  5. I'm not trying to start one. I am just pointing out that both of our "stories" come from the same place. I don't see how your conception of enlightenment is more true than mine. Unless you are saying that your idea of enlightenment is more true because it is backed up by Osho which is fine, I disagree with Osho though. Btw: I like Osho. Out of all the gurus out there and talked about on this forum, I've listened to Osho the most.
  6. If someone is truly having difficulties then there is something up in their body. I'd try removing caffeine, adding exercise, increasing peace of mind with meditation, and I would look at the diet. Diet wise remove sugar and processed foods. So eat meats, eggs, vegetables, seeds, and nuts pretty much. I love coffee and occasionally eat processed foods, consume too much sugar, but when I DO eat clean, I feel clean and I have very good stable energy throughout the day and I am able to relax when I get into bed.
  7. Suffering is a teacher. Suicide is an option.. I can only speak for myself. Suicide comes from a place of fear and it's about running away. Living comes from a place of the heart/love and it is our true nature to be.
  8. How is what you're saying not a story you tell yourself? very convincing only because there are people to back it up?
  9. Edit: Good Luck and have fun! I don't think you were looking for music, but I honestly think Leo's videos would probably be best if you're trying to induce non-dual states; otherwise use self-inquiry and contemplation. Try to find the boundaries in your experience and ask those deep questions like what is *insert anything*?
  10. How so? I didn't say I felt separate tho. I am saying that I feel more aware of my experience? As if the space between my thoughts and sensations grows.
  11. I disagree, there are indeed different levels or openings of one's awareness. For example, I feel more aware after a 20 minute meditation session.
  12. I think it would be interesting to discuss motherhood and the role of feminine energy in society.
  13. Interesting that you like him. I feel like people who demand others to have devotion to them are not high conscious beings. The only person you should have a devotion to is yourself and ultimately God.
  14. because God is everything.
  15. Leo gave a great reply. I do think Leo has a clue. I know this because I myself have experienced a lot of the themes and topics he discusses in his videos. Most of the time, it is through my psychedelic experiences. Like infinity, love/connection, unity, and non-duality. Sure there is still a lot of questions in my head, things I still don't understand. That's why I am here to learn, in addition to other sources besides Leo. What I get from Leo is to not blindly believe him and whenever he talks about something that I am not aware of, I don't blindly believe him. I think to myself, "maybe it becomes clearer in a higher consciousness state" or with time. I contemplate the questions I want to on a psychedelic trip/free time. IME, there is a universal truth because we all experience life, in addition to our personal truths.
  16. I think nobody knows Leo but Leo himself and to think otherwise is a lie. I agree...
  17. Awesome! thank you for sharing. Psychedelics are truly powerful.
  18. I say, have as much compassion for people as you can.
  19. I feel that. Fasting is like the practice of transcending the bodies needs and it does seem to break open another facet of consciousness for me.
  20. It's both!!! It exists at the same time within the same 'thing' you're talking about. Think of the episode where Leo discussed sameness and difference. In one way, nothing is original because it is sourced from somewhere else, in another way it is absolutely original in its expression in the moment.
  21. This question is very subjective My preferred workout routine is strength training with weights and cardio. My ideal situation is working out daily for 30-60 mins. Especially if you do 60 mins daily, one can do 30 minutes of strength training and 30 minutes of stabilization/cardio work. However, if you're looking for strength, tone, and muscle building without the risks look into Calisthenics which are essentially body weight exercises. Be warned though that it will not get you as strong as someone who deadlifts regularly. but maybe you are looking for something light in which case, yoga with brisk walking, jogging, or biking can be very good and in regards to health as helpful. Although weight resistance is good for bone strength so don't shy away from it.
  22. It's absolutely wonderful! I heard the news and it is soo so awesome. It's gonna start a chain reaction.
  23. I can understand his perspective though. Why use cannabis when you can just use more potent psychedelics like LSD, mushrooms, and DMT? Cannabis also has this hazy component to it that does not feel present to me on classical psychs. On the other hand, cannabis is psychedelic in the sense that it alters perception, slows down time, and gives closed eye visuals. I've also had positive meditating experience with it. Still, it does not come close to classic psychs.
