  1. “Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.” (Alexander Pope) How the f*ck can you achieve this? Everybody has some kind of expectation of life, right? There is always an ongoing mission to make yourself happy... so my question, how can you NOT chase happiness?
  2. 'The world is not a problem to be solved, but an expercience to be lived!' Enjoy!
  3. @ColdFacts thanks @Bill W moderation, work in progress, I get it, thanks @Truth Addict Could you please elaborate on your statement. Is it even possible to pursuit happiness on an intellectual level without emotions, happiness is an emotion, isn't?
  4. Try how instead of why... it breaks the chain to a certain degree. But eventually all answers are the same, a seeking ego mind...

  6. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. I've been to very different therapists for different issues. They all had different approaches and every time some part of me has grown and integrated. It all feels in hindsight very natural. Trust the path, trust your first intuition and your heart. It may lead you to someone you don't expect to be much of value for your problem or situation. Intuition is never wrong. Sometimes you need to learn something that you're not yet consious off. Drop the wishlist, define the biggest problem at this moment to work on and follow your heart in making a choice.
  7. Practice lying down meditation (it will take some practice not to fall alsleep while meditating) Or walking meditation In the meantime strenghten you back, if possible. Do what you can and what feels good for your body, don't stretch to your limits. Listen to your body. Watch Joe Dispenza (he has a story on how to heal yourself), learn letting go to release pain by David Hawkins.
  8. This will give you an explanation. Watch it from 19.03
  9. Read Eckhart Tolle the Power of Now, he explains sin as in the Greek word and meaning "to miss the mark". Tolle defines the word “sin” as “the suffering you unconsciously inflict on yourself and others as long as [an] illusory sense of self governs what you think, say, and do.”
  10. When there is no enemy inside, there no enemy outside that can hurt you. Look within...
  11. Jeff Olsen had a near-death experience, he tells exactly the same story as @Leo Gura in his lastest becoming God video, mindblowing!!
  12. Tom Shadyac, director of Bruce Almighty, the Nutty Proffessor. Has all the money in the world, watch his documentary I am, free on Vimeo;
  13. "Life is a school, take the curriculum". "Wherever you go, there you are". "Where the sun is, darkness cannot be. Where the mind is (past or future), reality or Now cannot be." "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it." " Life is Leela. It is a play. And the moment you are ready to play, you are enlightened." "Little insight that changes the wind in the sails a bit, is a long change over time." "If we only wanted to be happy, it would be easy; but we want to be happier than other people, which is almost always difficult, since we think them happier than they are." "The slower you go, the faster you get there."
  14. EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique Inner Child Work / Shadow Work The Work (Byron Katie) Sedona Method Go to Psychiatrist NLP Hypnotistic Regression EMDR There a lots more. Research for yourself what works.
  15. Every (non-dual) teaching is based on the premise of consciousness expanding. How do we know that human consciousness only wants to expand? Yet in the universe we see multiple examples of expanding and contracting, like breathing. Is a contracting conscious awareness possible?
  16. Read the book Letting Go by D. Hawkins. He talks about how to let go negative but also positive emotions. Humans are wired to be addicted to the negative, because of our survival instinct. Positive emotions can be viewed as a threat to survival.
  17. @darind emotion = energy in motion. All beings and the universe is vibration and energy.
  18. @George Fil There is this quote from Adyashanti; Make no mistake about it – enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretense. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true. The bigger Yang gets, the bigger Yin gets (and vice versa). The more you see the truth, the more loneliness there is. Accept what is, accept the loneliness.
  19. @George Fil I think you're confusing living in a Green city and expect (a majority of) Green people. Our culture (yes, I'm living in the same country) is just as materialistic, driven by consumerism and is full of bullsh*t as any other country. Offcourse we have made some more progress on some levels and that moved us into green. This path is a lonely one. Allthough more and more people are taking it, prepare for lonely times. Or talking to deaf ears. I have tried to promote veganism to collegues, o boy... that didn't go well. Same as minimalism, religions world wide and like you traveling abroad. My collegues aren't there yet. And that's fine. Every stage has its purpose. Grass doesn't grow faster when you pull it. It needs sunlight. So be a shining sun, and people will ask you when they are ready for growth. If you want to connect expand your search beyond the borders of a country; online forums, going to green / yellow events or retreats, do some green / yellow activity. But even then, the path is lonely. Prepare yourself for some serious loneliness. Best of luck on your journey ?
  20. 'The Work' is a mind/thought-way of letting go, not a feeling-way of letting go. Mind / thought-ways are perfect when you feel some resistants. This works a lot better and faster than feeling-ways. Feeling-ways of letting go are the Sedona Method or Letting Go (book by D. Hawkins). Just start; see if it any of above helps, and then explore other ways. Be carefull no to give up on a method to soon. It will requires some time to 'master' a method.
  21. Try minimalism for a while or read some books on minimalism. I will trigger a mindset that you don't need stuff as much as you think you need it. Reading tips; Goodbye Things - Fumio Sasaki The life-changing magic of tidying up - Marie Kondo Project 333 - https://bemorewithless.com/project-333/ Minimalist Packing Party - https://www.google.nl/amp/s/www.theminimalists.com/packing/amp/ Watch; - the Minimalists on Netflix - Marie Kondo on Netflix And below some YouTube vids; The more you learn it's a deception to buy more, the less you will be drawn to stuff...
  22. How to get unstuck of your fear. Explore your fear, deeper and deeper; untill you found your core believe with these two questions; Why would that be a bad thing? What would it mean if that were true? As an example; What would it mean if that were true; I have no control over my body. Why would that be a bad thing; because I need control. What would it mean if that (no control) were true; I can't trust myself anymore. And so on and so on. Untill you can't go further and you feel something like; a lack of love, security or validation issues.. (most times something from your childhood) Resolve core beliefs with 'the Work' Byron Katie. Do above question method multiple times, your answers can vary (it will take some time and effort to resolve core beliefs). Surrender to fear-feelings won't work if you still feel a little bit of fear or resistance. That's why it's better to solve it first in the mind, and then surrender in the body.
