  1. How Chinese propaganda supports Russia invasion: Pretty clear where China's loyalties lie.
  2. It's not WW3, it's just a special operation I think a hot war could go on pretty long without going nuclear. The nuclear threats are bluffs by both sides.
  3. It's hard to say what is meant by that 6th Jhana description. It could refer to the same thing or something different. Such descriptions are underdetermined and leave room for interpretation.
  4. "War, war never changes."
  5. They aren't driving cars down French freeways.
  6. 1) Destroying a few Russian planes is not WW3. 2) Letting Putin level Kyiv to the ground is also not a great idea. Of course it is tricky.
  7. Late today. Still rendering and uploading.
  8. Probably because it's bad for business and China is getting pressure from the US and EU trading partners.
  9. It's not some elegant game they are playing, but Russia seems like they will beat Ukraine. To the contrary, Russia is losing some pawns while protecting its king. Meanwhile Ukraine's king will probably get his head cut off. Putin doesn't need to play a flawless or beautiful game. All he has to do is bomb cities, which is easy. He's taking a blunt approach.
  10. I think China does not give a flying fuck about Ukraine. They will trade with whoever gives them money and doesn't impinge on their territorial goal of dominating Asia.
  11. 1) Ukraine is not so small. 2) Capturing it in a day or two? What are you smoking? The US could not properly hold Afghanistan with 20 years and $2 trillion dollars. I think Russia can certainly dominate Ukraine militarily, but it will take a few months. This is still relatively fast.
  12. Okay, that makes a lot of sense. I'm glad he left.
  13. Salvia gives me plenty of insight, it's just terrifying and dangerous. I can get better insight elsewhere.
  14. I would just say you're not awake. The Buddha is imaginary. When you really awaken you're realize that. The real fruit is so radical you will not care about purification or changing your habits. But hey, whatever works for ya. I don't want to piss on your triumphs.
  15. It's tricky. It's sort of the pinnacle of God-realization. You realize you are God then you become the Godhead, which is a formless Infinity, like you might imagine the universe prior to the Big Bang. For me, I realized cessation is imaginary.
  16. God-realization is not a "therapy" of any kind and it is not an evolution or anything of the sort. All of that is dream stuff and God-realization cuts through all that BS. It's not a process either.
  17. I don't think Russia's or Putin's attitude is to be individualist. Quite the opposite, they want more allies, but of course they want allies that are favorable to their agenda. Allies like China.
  18. Americans and NATO have been deploying defensive missile silos close to Russian boarders for a long time. And as Putin says, those "defensive" silos can be retrofitted into offensive nuke launch sites within days. This retrofit seems trivial. So while NATO says it's purely for defense, nothing would stop them from turning them into offensive weapons if they wanted to. And Putin does not want to rely on their word for assurance. Yes, it would trigger a war, but this serves the US and NATO doubly: 1) it locks Putin into never moving his military outside Russia because they boxed him in by having all of Europe join NATO, 2) in the rare case that a war would start, Ukraine would take the brunt of the damage and Russia would be left with their pants down. This is a win-win for the US, and a lose-lose for Russia. Russia losing Ukraine to the West is like having your balls dangling and exposed in a street fight. The West's position has been: "Yes, your balls are dangling and exposed, but don't worry, we will never kick them. You can trust us. We are the good guys." Obviously Putin scoffs at such a deal. The Ukrainians might disagree with you there.
  19. How do they know what Putin or Russian command was thinking? Seems like a lot of speculation with an obvious Western bias.
  20. Depends on how you define "my". You can be free of what you currently think of as yourself. Pure Infinity is endless freedom. But yeah, you can't stop existing. You are God. God exists forever.
  21. Existence is Absolute. It cannot ever be finished. Yes, the end of you as a finite, distinct thing. But you will exist as pure Infinity forever. If you got a glimpse of pure Infinity, you would be so horrified you'd call it death. It's a lot like death, except you are conscious forever of endless nothingness. I've seen it. It's the most terrifying thing you could imagine. But also, it's LOVE. It's the last thing you could possibly want.
  22. And no such claim of uprooting defilements has been made. The claim made was simply insight, consciousness, and God-realization. If you want to transform your mental habits, that's decades of additional work. God-realization is a distinct event from changing your human self. You can have one without the other, and vice versa.
