I'm not going to ban Tate here because Tate's opinions and worldview is fair game for discussion. Tate also has plenty of reasonable takes, only some of the stuff he says is toxic. Tate is not Connor Murphy who was acting like a monster on this forum and towards myself. You need to learn to tolerate worldviews which are not the same as yours without needing it banned by some daddy figure. I've already said that I consider Tate's views of women to be toxic and not a good role model for men, and he's also a grifter. But in general you guys need to learn how to separate the signal from the noise when listening to various worldviews. We don't have that much Tate content on this forum anyways. Mostly people just discuss their opinions on Tate, which is good use of free speech. Tate's views easily discredit themselves. Most people here understand the toxic aspects of what he says. You should also be open to the possibility that Tate's advice has helped some people. It's not all bad. If someone comes here and says that Tate's content helped him, that's fair. Who are you to say he's wrong? Maybe Tate has some positive impact? You should be open to that possibility.

Such a silly argument. Abusers are reformable and this assumes they've served their time so they will be free regardless. You're not putting abusers in jail for life. Abusers should still get a punishment, whatever is warranted.

We have finite resources. Especially in the prison and social services system.

Irrelevant because: 1) This is a resource allocation issue. 2) Every murderer will have a bad upbringing story. Why should this useless guy get millions in societal resources when we could funnel those resources to other people who need them and will make good use of them? As an example, the therapists we waste on this guy could be used to help abused children. I would rather invest $1 million in abused children than in this depraved dude. Why do you want to take $1 million away from abused children? That's the proper framing

Fine with me. Death anyway. It's not about revenge, it's about properly allocating resources. Death penalty simply needs to be made cheaper than life in prison. There is no ambiguity in this guy's case. He could be justly executed tomorrow. Here's a simple rule: anyone caught on camera shooting at children in a school is executed within a month.

Sure, why is this even a question? Then again, nothing entitles you to free therapy. Therapy is an expensive service that must be earned or rationed.

Most mentally ill people are not a danger to others. This is common stereotype. Mentally disabled people are certainly a drag on society, however since they didn't harm anyone they can be treated with more compassion, like cats and dogs. Yes, people who have committed serious crimes deserve less respect and care from us. By being an asshole you lose your entitlement to charity. It's not complicated: people who are nice get treated nice. People who are assholes get treated like assholes.
