I mostly practice do-nothing, unforcefully. But I'm also experimenting with improving my concentration, which I do very forcefully. I like to experiment with different things a lot. So I don't have one simple practice like many people.

That's a tricky situation. If you're doing concentration practices, yes, those are forceful (at least in the beginning until you train it up a lot). But do-nothing is not forceful. Do-nothing is not concentration. Concentration is very much doing something. You could try doing both at different parts of the day. Have one forceful practice and one unforced one. See which works better for you.

Leo Gura replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God The fact is it's really hard to know how awake such ancient people were. There's 2000 years of dogma and mythology surrounding such figures. We don't have unbiased records of them. The records come from their students and devotees, which can't really be trusted. Maybe The Buddha was banging groupies. We don't know.

Leo Gura replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God 99% of nonduality students and Buddhists and so forth. They don't understand DMT worlds.

Fulfillment don't even register as important once you're fully conscious that you're God. It can, but the whole point of do-nothing is that's supposed to be totally non-goal-oriented. You need to fully surrender and drop all expectation or desire for a result or a insight. If you're trying to gain an insight, you're not doing nothing, you're doing something. Do-nothing guarantees you no insight. But of course insights can arise spontaneously. You just have to accept that you won't get any for a while. With do-nothing you just sit, relax, and surrender all desire to manipulate your experience. And just be present. The key is surrender all tendencies to control your experience. And enjoy it. Relax! Drop all spiritual chasing or seeking. Drop the goal to become enlightened. At least during your sit. Trust that enlightenment will come to you. There is no higher entity than me. So to me channeling entities seems silly. If you want wisdom and advice, connect to God Consciousness and ask away. But be clear, you are talking to yourself. It can be very valuable. I channel insights from God frequently. I don't need some alien middle-man between me and God.

Leo Gura replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God Well... Who is open to the possibility that Christ, The Buddha, and Ramana Maharshi were barely awake? Most people will find that idea very difficult to stomach. I'm not saying I'm better than any of them. I've just... seen some things... man.

Leo Gura replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God I think a lot of people confuse liberation with God Awakening, and they are just not the same things at all. Personally, after experiencing God Awakening, I stopped caring about liberation. To me that's a spiritual game that Buddhists love to play. They are trying to act like The Buddha, which to me is not true Awakening. I do not purse Awakening to escape suffering or the world of form. I pursue self-understanding. I think he would realize a new level of Awakening and shit his diaper.

Leo Gura replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God No, that won't be enough to reach the highest levels. But it can be great practice. It's gonna depend a lot on you. Whatever works for you. Personally I don't like practices where I have to force myself to do something. To me harsh discipline doesn't feel loving or right. I don't like that brutal Zen approach to spirituality. But some people do. These days I prefer effortless approaches. The danger with that is, you can get lazy with it. So I certainly see the value of discipline. But ultimately I want my life to be so smooth and effortless that I don't have to force myself to do anything. So that's what I'm working towards. If I have to discipline myself all the time, to me that isn't the highest level of being. Life should be effortless.

Leo Gura replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God As unbelievable as this sounds, I have reached levels of Awakening which clearly show me that no nonduality teacher is fully awake. But I don't expect you guys to believe me. Okay, so you've given them some degree of awakeness. But it's gonna be a very mild degree. I'm not saying you shouldn't do that. It could be very helpful. I'm just saying there are higher levels.

Leo Gura replied to IJB063's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God God knows when you know, and not until then, since God is you. Do you know why and how you created yourself? No? Then God isn't awake to itself.

Leo Gura replied to IJB063's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God LOL Awakening is beyond any such silly dualities as masculine and feminine. It is Infinity. I am not masculine, I am not feminine. I am Infinity.

Just sit and do nothing or concentrate on awareness itself. Total surrender to the present moment is very effective for me.

Leo Gura replied to Bulgarianspirit's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God It's not so suspect once you Awaken. Altering reality is not that necessary or important if you're conscious that you create it. That's right. And I expect that. Yes, and I expect humans will soon start altering their DNA and brain chemistry to become more God-like. It shouldn't be so hard to install a small pump in the body which constantly produces 5-MeO-DMT at whatever level you desire.

Leo Gura replied to IJB063's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God I don't think it can be explained to you until the moment of a massive Awakening to yourself as God. It only makes sense in retrospect. Basically the way it works is, God has lost himself and is now trying to find himself. So he's giving himself clues and wake up calls all the time, but the lost part of him doesn't recognize the clues and resists waking up out of fear. Until one day he wakes up and realizing what all the clues were that led to it. It's like reading a detective mystery novel. The clues will only make sense after the final reveal.
