The reason is more general than indoctrination. Your mind needs some way to represent itself to itself. God is formless so it needs some medium, some form, to communicate with you. The form it uses will be based on whichever forms make the most sense to you. Obviously this will most likely be the symbols that your culture taught you. It is just like dreaming. In your dreams what forms do you encounter? The ones which have the most salience to your psyche. If you are not a mathematician your dreams will not be mathematical. If you are, they will be. Because that is how your mind likes to represent reality to itself.

Claude is better. I quit ChatGPT immediately when I felt how sycophantic it was years ago. Also, you have to start each session by giving a standard instruction to not praise you, to give short answers, and to not ask you questions. This cuts out 80% of the boilerplate BS. ChatGPT is designed to praise you with bullshit.
