Joel says:

Leo,I am GOD imagining that I am the first person to make a comment and giving selective authority to Beethoven, Brahms, Bach, Chopin and Stephen Curry.

AMORID says:

My reply is not to Joe.

What I get is that authority is something that can be dangerous, very dangerous if not correctly understand and placed.

It is sure that authority is every idea from any source you can imagine you believe it deeply at the length it be your blind guide -not reasoning about the situation you are in.

adolf says:

and wagner, that what leo gura listens to. preferably. at least sounds like it in his forum comments.

Joel says:

Leo, your scornful mockery of people who have given away their authority and not realized that they are GOD is hypocritical. YOU created them that way.

Andrew says:

From where does the interpretation that it is “scornful mockery” arise?

Joel says:

Listen to the tape carefully.

Kalina says:

I’m not sure either. I didn’t get that at all.

AprendizZo says:

I once imagined Joel creating Leo and blaming him for the ones that don’t know they are God. But suddently I realized did in fact create Joel and Leo. Do you realize that thses words have been created by yourself?

Kalina says:

This video is my favorite so far. I know that Leo sort of caters to a male crowd, but these videos are excellent for all. (Hey, my first comment!)

Melanie Jenkins says:

Leo, I see your argument with regards to authority and I agree with you. It’s not a new concept to me, I have wondered before how can i trust or know anything? Only through my limited 5 senses, how do I even know that this is truth? As you stated earlier, perhaps it is all a simulation of reality. My question is this, how do you know that you or I are God? Did you give your authority to someone who stated the idea that you are God? Have you somehow experienced for yourself that you are God? If you did, how can you trust that experience any more than I can trust my 5 senses and perception of reality? It seems impossible to me that anyone can know they are God. Unless of course through death. I haven’t yet finished the video, so maybe you address this, but it was just bugging me. If I accept the idea that I am God from watching a video on the internet how can I be any less deluded than in the examples you have given?

Max Gron says:

This is 100% logical, appeal to authority is a sin to a logician but they also are rebellious because being told what to do isn’t logical, which is unreasonable because that would mean you can’t be reasoned with, a true logician can’t be reasoned with, otherwise it would be the soldier’s honour fallacy. I’m talking about authority, logicians can’t be told what to do, and they can’t be told what to believe. Other spiritual/mystical people don’t use logic, they’re much less logical than Leo and believe it or not I don’t let Leo Gura reason with me, I don’t obey based on logic, I obey based on my consent, therefore Leo can’t change me or tell me how I should live without my consent. Do you think in your mystical logic I can be told to eat mushrooms? Mushrooms can make you sick, it’s a drug. Drugs are bad, that’s my authority and not the authority of criminals. Takers of drugs are bad people, they’re criminals, I don’t take spirituality from criminals. If you’re a hippie you’re pretty bad, mushrooms are for longhairs on drugs, they’re not for longhairs who happen to be Christians, you can’t be religious and a pothead or taker of mushrooms. You can’t be a Christian and a criminal, Christianity is there because you’re a criminal, and Leo fits this category, Leo’s not a Christian but a Buddhist, a vitalist, an empiricist, a logician, a mystic, a metaphysical monist, a psychologist, a guru, a hippie, a strategic motherfucker, a systems thinker, an environmentalist, a philosopher, a phenomenologist, a deconstructionist, a presentist, an ultraskeptic, a pantheist, a martyr, a pseudo-solipsist, a devil believer, do you see how fake he is? He has multiple beliefs, he doubts everything except God and Satan and his beliefs, he preaches disbelieving, if he really disbelieved what he said he would drop every belief, even logic and not use all these philosophies and religions, he won’t be religious, he won’t be irreligious if he truly disbelieved, 20 beliefs is just too much, he has millions of beliefs and I won’t tolerate his fakery.

Max Gron says:

To me this God thing is a game, it’s a game that I should act on the soldier’s honour because a special book (the Bible) says so, and I’m tired of these power games. I believe in freedom somehow, which isn’t at stage red because I found out what value system my perfectionism comes from, that is it’s stage green, why do you think I’m egalitarian about it? I gave my authority to it which Dr Jock gave his authority to, he’s actually what he calls anti-perfectionist, anti-professionalist, but what gives him that authority? Perfectionism, he therefore had an authority against it. But what gives you the authority that I’m God? You of course. I’m not God. I create the truth by unveiling my self-deception, otherwise I’ll be a fool duped into troublesome things. The real logic is not doing as I’m told and not believing what I’m told, not if I can’t accept it. I’m trying to realise that religion is just my imagination, you and I could be wrong. You’re not imagining the truth, you’re imagining imagination. The truth is something I didn’t make up, it’s precisely outside my imagination. I’m not part of culture, but the authority of antitheism isn’t impossible to accept, the rest of the truth is beliefs and morals I formed on my own, except mercy, the silver rule, and humanitarianism, also I give my authority to an egalitarian perfectionism. House of cards, yeah that’s a possibility. All I want is Transcendental Meditation instead of religion, I want to be a stage green person. But I question these wants, I prefer thinking for myself. Yeah, my perfectionism is this (thinking for myself): normal is a perfection, by being usual, and the more normal or usual you are the less evil or wrong you are, which is fine.

Max Raoy Gron says:

I only gave my authority to the very disbelief (antitheism) people hate, I’m not giving my authority to my former beliefs or spirituality, except perhaps the Leo Gura religion and not a real authority, like, say, from the Middle Ages, real authorities don’t come from the 21st century unless you’re a cult leader, a philosopher, an ideologist, a scientist, etc, true humility is seeing yourself as smaller than the universe, not the pseudo-humility of religion, with seeing the earth as the centre of the universe, and giving rules to God to obey him. That’s a false humility, insistence on God and dying for it is the ego, Jesus’s ego was huge, why do you think he died for sins? It’s all the ego, it’s his pride of religiousness. Bloody hell. Is it a wonder that half of all eccentric people in history died? People don’t die for normal behaviour. Just be normal, it’s risk-free. I’m not being tied in living like a barbarian and believing false beliefs. Of course religion has truthful intentions, they lived their whole lives wasting sixty years on being wrong, sixty years! Why is it that everyone suffers from delusion? Have you noticed every person you meet insists that what they think and say is the gospel? They insist there’s truth even if it can’t happen, even what’s so wrong they can’t be more wrong, these people think they’re right, and will die being repeatedly told they’re wrong. You can be a foolish witch all your life and think you’re doing the truth, let’s be honest, if you see the results it’s because your vengeful God deceived you into thinking what you see with the mind’s eye is real, a hallucination so real you can touch it, it’s sad really.
