Is Creative Visualization Contradictory To Meditation ?

creative visualization involves  focus.

meditation is letting go your mind free

if it feels fun and joyful then it is not focus, it is being, as joy and passion are an expression of your being.
just as when you walk, you don't focus on walking but you walk. 

sometimes I imagine stuff, but sometimes imagination comes to me, like being submerged by it.
I appreciate the latter more, it feels more genuine. 

The question is, do you want to creatively visualize because you enjoy it or because you're trying to reach a certain state?
