Monarchies

What's the point of monarchies in this time of humanity? Rule should be earned by effort. Being born in the right family isn't something that's earned.

The point of monarchies, in terms of developmental factors like Spiral Dynamics stages of development, cognitive and moral development, ego development, personality typing/traits, Integral Theory's other lines of development in life and societal domains, ideological beliefs indoctrinated by culture, family upbringing, and information ecology one consumes, is that Monarchies served as a way to create conformity and enforce patriarchy and traditional hierarchy in a region where at the time feudalism and theocracy was the mainstream. Each feudal and theocratic group that is mostly stage blue will defend it's collective ego that the royalty, aristocracy, autocratic rulership is in, down to the servants and peasants and villagers that serve each landlord. It functioned as a way to increase community and group cohesion for it's own in-group, and defends against other out-groups and other cultures trying to absorb and assimilate the in-group that is patriarchic or matriarchic, Each tradition structure from other cultures and other civilizations have to do this out of survival of the ego, per person to the ideology each ego attaches to that gives the ego meaningful existence.

Monarchy and other older structures nowadays, especially in stage orange to stage green societies are cultural trappings, and cultural zeitgeists in stage orange/blue nationalist and patriotic countries. Even secular countries allow aspects of past Eras like temples, churches, Mosques, Synagogues, and other religious iconography and other old world aspects as a way to add to that culture's appearance.

Monarchies predate feudalism. China had emperors long before medieval feudalism. Rome started as a monarchy before it morphed into a republic and then an empire. Monarchy started due to strongman-rule, in that the most able, whether physically or intellectually, had earned the right to rule a given people or region.

I stand corrected, but that doesn't change my post above, that monarchies are part of human development and impossible to skip over. That's why socialism and communism sucks because those cultures think they can skip capitalism and neoliberalism and stage orange and secularism. They can't, and when they do, they suffer collectively, hence why those communist countries go back down and integrate capitalism into their framework.

Also, patriarchy and a limited democracy is useful, like a small republic similar to Rome, because egalitarianism, multiculturalism and feminism have negatively impacted birthrates in westernized secular countries like Japan, South Korea, Canada, USA, UK, EU countries. Even Russia's USSR and Mau's party, when they overthrew their theocratic country, turned it secular and legalized abortion, suffered a birthrate decline, so much that Russia, some extent to China, and even Japan cannot natively reproduce the threshold  for replacement numbers in their country, which makes them import immigrants from countries with theocracy dominant rule, which can reproduce themselves.

The worst types are probably the Zars monarchy from Russia and the French Monarchy before, as they didn't adjust quickly to feeding the needy, so they ended up building discontent and revolutionaries used that against them, and offed their heads. Also majority of imperialist China, and the Mongol horde.

Not just funny hats, but steel masks too.

All monarchies are cringe, even if they are constitutional monarchies like Britain or Denmark.

Good for them. Doesn't mean the concept is unsuited to modern times.

Maybe. BUt that's not pertinent to my point. Religions are not inherently political systems.

My country has never been a monarchy but i‘d still rather live in norway, sweden, denmark, netherlands, spain, which all have a monarch than most other countries in the world so i really don’t see the issue. Yea monarchy is a bit silly but still these countries are better than most imo

i was on kings day in netherlands once, it was great whoop whoop

Correlation isn't causation. Yes, they are wealthy countries, but not because of their monarchies per se.

So what's that got to do with them being monarchies?

Like what you wish.

But then me posting this here fits in this section, as it's political.

Maybe stop assuming the world has to care about your unique tastes. They don't.

And don't infringe on others' freedom merely since some impulse in your must be satisfied.
