Valuing truth vs. valuing love

5 posts in this topic

Leo posed the question "do you value truth or do you value love?" in his video on happiness. That sort of confused me as I felt those two things were not at odds with one another. I need further ideas about this so I can better understand where Leo was coming from when he posed that question.

I think you can make a number of distinctions between the two, though in absolute terms they are the same. It’s really more about defining and understanding these things for yourself and then embody those values if they are your values

In that example I meant love in the more normal human sense. Not metaphysical Love. Most humans have no clue what metaphysical Love is, so they cannot really set it as a value. They only know love as an emotion.

If truth doesn't come first, then how would you know whether or not to value love? How would you even know what love is or whether it exists at all?

That's an excellent point.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Truth will always lead to Love and Love will eventually lead you back to Truth.

As above so below, as within so without.
