Choosing people to award when I become successful

Who should I give assistance to (eg, financially) when I become successful?

Also, I insulted a couple guys (which I'm not doing anymore) several years back. All they've done is take revenge on me. There have been some nice behaviors here and there, but it's mostly just revenge. 

So what should I do about the first question and the revenge situation when I hit success?
