If psychedelics are illegal how come people talk about them in public?

If psychedelics are illegal how come people are able to talk about their use in countries where they are illegal? I don't understand it exactly.

@Thought Art Because, in the countries where most people here are speaking from (USA, Canada, Western and Northern Europe--all assumptions), unless you are trafficking large quantities of these drugs on the black market or involved in committing other high-profile felonies, law enforcement is just not going to bother going after you. The fact of the matter is law enforcement in Stage Orange countries doesn't really care about personal use of illegal drugs. Especially psychedelics and grey-area research chemicals. Harder, more illicit drugs like crystal meth, crack, cocaine, and heroin are a different story. They cause way more death directly (overdoses) and indirectly (black market crime) than psychedelics. If this forum was dedicated to the sourcing and vending of large volumes of those drugs, it would be snatched up by the DEA in a heartbeat. Simply talking about one's experience on psychedelics and similar substances, as someone mentioned above, is protected free speech and not of itself illegal. If you think this is wild check out the Erowid experience vault.
