Tips on not being a slaved to my desires

4 posts in this topic

I am noticing that whatever I want in life, like starting my own business, or keeping a partner/ intimate relationship. I find my neediness or desire for the thing can bring about it's downfall or loss. I notice myself starting to get people interested in Qigong and have been doing sessions around my city. People really seem to enjoy it. I just want to make sure I am not clinging onto my ideas of success and just allowing the process to unfold. But, I also need to make sure and put effort to ensure it unfolds. There seems to a need for a light clinging, but room to breath.

Tips?

It is possible to want things in life, yet be detached from them. This requires that you see the loss of something as a turning of the page...a next chapter so to speak. Reality is impermanent, and often loss is simply a clearing of mental, physical and emotional space for something new to enter.

The Sedona Method is precisely for this.

Letting go of your needs and desires. Have you tried it?
