Ronaldo Euro snub wipes billions off Coca Cola’s value

This ties in nicely with Leo’s recent video on brands. 
A company’s economic value is collectively constructed and could be destroyed if we collectively stopped believing in a brand. I like Russell Brand's comment on this, would like to see such interpretations on mainstream media.

CR7 is at the end of career, has nothing to lose, is super rich, and this is his ego saying eh I'm influent and powerful.

I doubt the Cristiano of 18yo would have the balls to do that. 

It's like jim Carrey, exposes every shit on Tv and he doesnt even care of the consequences, because is in the end of his career.

   That's very true. Also a good example of how branding is survival for business.

Lets not kid ourself 98% of the people in this forum would represent Coca Cola if the were going to get paid millions, even though they know its not good for you.
