How fulfilling/happy can a career make you?

How far can you get with it? And if you had to compare it with an intimate relationship , can it compare?

You could be asking if chocolate ice cream tastes better than sushi.

Everyone is different and will have different tastes.

Is a career better than not having a career and working for example at McDonalds? Probably...

But still there are many people who have a career and are not happy.

And there are many people who are in relationships that are not happy.

 

It's all about what you like. Are you happy with your career or relationship?

I'm sure there are people who get absolute bliss from doing their chosen career every day.

But don't worry about hypothetical situations or other people.

Examine if that's something you think you can experience, and why you're asking this question in the first place.

Without more context I don't know where this question is coming from. It almost sounds like you're trying to rationalize giving up a relationship for your career to yourself.
