I thought it would be cool to have a thread for histories of different societies. It is very mind-opening to see the history of a society unfold in a single video:

 

 

Makes me wonder... What's the point? Where is the mankind going?

Im listening to this podcast about Saddam Hussein told from his perspective (by a voice actor), a very Yellow-ish way to do it, I like it.

Great list! Id like to add Search For Modern China, its a great book about China from 1500s-1990, I highly recommend it.
