BUT Leo...

Why does suffering keep eating its own tail? No matter how many insights I have and meditations I do I feel trapped in the same cycle. The pain always feels worth it and valid. I keep finding myself in the same rut where I hate everyone and feel lonely and hopeless. I keep finding pain instead of understanding. I feel like there is a demon inside of me and somehow I vibe more with that demon instead of loving others.

Sounds like you got a lot of work to do.

Also, don't neglect mastering basic survival aspects of life:

If you feel lonely, make some quality friends.

If you feel horny, learn to date.

If you are struggling with money, master that aspect of life.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Laila you are trapped in the ego, like almost everyone else, but your ego makes you suffer. The positive of this is that you are forced to transcend it. you know, self-observation, meditation, and psychedelics. Well, and a big dose of intelligence and intuition, think by yourself and don't follow anyone, and you can completely escape that trap

@Leo Gura  I was just asked to join a zoom meditation circle, think that's a good place to start?

@Laila Suffering will never end, because it is God’s gift to you. God loves to teach his students by showing them difficulty. As Buddha said, life is suffering.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@How to be wise I'd phrase it more like: pain will never end, but you can be liberated from suffering by radically recontextualizing the pain and seeing pain from a more conscious perspective.
