Feel yourself into Silence

3 posts in this topic

I want to share a very interesting insight I have discovered when doing meditation. This relates to arising and passing/impermanence. When you close your eyes to meditate, focus on the sounds which are arising. I live next to a street and I focus on the sounds of the cars passing by. When you hear these sounds, feel yourself into them, and do it with awareness on the face. There is subtle awareness there. When the sound of the car passes, focus on the silence. Awareness will start to make itself apparent, and then when you identify it, Don't deny the awareness. Seep deeper into the awareness, until it reveals itself fully to you.

Sort of like Shinzen Young's noting technique.

Can be done with See and Feel too.
