Why Are Some People Immune To Knowledge?

18 posts in this topic

Hello.

I wrote an article and it got published on a Swedish linking site.

When I look at the comments, the majority thinks it's a conspiracy theory?

Even though the article is backed up by science and studies, published on US government sites.

10 natural Adderall alternatives to treat ADHD

Why do you think people call this a conspiracy theory?

Well, these conclusions are probably quite different from their own views. So it is not so radical to dismiss it and be skeptical. They have their own perspective, and whether or not it is correct, it makes sense based on what they know.

We are all not so different. If we weren't at all discerning, then we would be susceptible to believing in everything. Being wrong a lot is just the nature of the game.

People will believe what they want to believe. It doesn't matter how much evidence you throw at them they will decide whether or not that evidence is, in fact, evidence according to their own world views. The truth is, that just because an article makes a good case with plenty of references and studies to back it, it doesn't make it any more 'true' than anything else. Not that I'm saying that your article isn't fact based. But simply that people don't have to believe anything they read just because the author tells them to.

The best you can do is put your case out there and let people make up their own minds. Don't expect people to like it, or believe it, or to adopt it in to their knowledge base. Some will, some won't. Many people don't like to give up their own perspectives as it challenges their ego, so instead they will try to discredit the information in order to validate their own view.

@Skenderberg I'd say it's just closemindedness,  they generalized all alternative methods that dont involve the use of heavy drugs like adderall as "ineffective" or "new age" and ignore any pieces of evidence that don't fit their worldview.

What about people who know that eating MacDonnalds is going to kill them?

So they move off the Big Macs and start eating salads.

This is called experience.

Imagine if we tried to take in everything as equally valid?  Our brains couldnt handle it.  And our brains are not designed for it either.

Open mindedness is about trying new things, and seeing if it works.  If it doesn work, then throw it away.

Also, when you understand the vasanas, you will realize that open-mindedness as a dogma is a compensation for a vasana that goes something like: I'm not good enough the way I am, so I must be good, or a saint in order to compensate.

This is not real open mindedness, it is an over compensation.

But none of you know that, because you dont have the correct teachings.:)

I think also open-mindedness is being able to think beyond current belief system. Being open to new suggestions.

People raised in a different environment with different experiences also store different signals in the subconscious mind, which will produce emotions of what's perceived from the external world.

I tried Leos video about that neti neti method. I think open minded is unavoidable if you want to experience the enlightenment,

Bare in mind, all people are susceptible to blind-sightedness. In order to function, we must all rely heavily on faith in second-hand sources. So, people might believe or disbelieve anything based upon which second-hand sources they choose to believe. So, whether they decide that the article you mention is true or false, or even whether you decide the article is true or false, it is still a practice of faith. But what's actually true is that no one knows. If people are honest enough to admit this, it would open up many possibilities. But the important thing is not to pick a side and be extremely empirical, doing your own field tests in the most objective way possible.

The thing is I've tried all kinds of Ayurvedic herbs with amazing benefits.

Took 1800mg of Ashwagandha earlier. Feels amazing to protect the body from external stresses as well as internal stresses that deplete neurotransmitters.

What worries me the most from that article is how the Swedish people from that comment section though it was lies.

I mean, I was raised in Sweden and from my experience; most people follow and do whatever the government says.

"Take  this pill, so you can go to work. "here's the liquor store, we are open till 7pm, but you need to be 20 years old to purchase from the government. For your own safety"

But it's perfectly fine to grab alcohol from clubs outdoor at age 18.

"yes, it's a safer environment"  What?

We also opened up online casinos so we can tax you even more!

Point is. If the government told them the substances in my article helps with ADHD and your brain chemistry is unique and needs to be balanced in order to function properly.

ADHD would not be a problem since nobody is born with less neurotransmitters.

@Emerald Wilkins

@Emerald Wilkins That's the scary part. It's true.

If you are deficient in GABA receptor in your brain, caused by processed food, caffeine, stress, environmental toxins, and what not?

You will experience panic attacks and various of symptoms.

Let's say you use mainstream deodorants.  You're also inviting hippocampus deterioration into your system.

Do you use the right cooking oil? (I don’t mean specially you here :P) You also raise your omega-6 levels in your brain. Omega-6 is what monkey brain needs. Humans, omega-3. Or we must have a balanced ratio between these two for optimal brain function.

That will hurt acetylcholine receptors in the brain and cause your memory to suffer. Hard time to remember stuff and store memories.

Why does this happen? When the brain is deficient in something, it takes stuff from other part (sometimes)of the brain to survive. That’s the whole mission of the automatic part of the body. Maybe.

Even if you eat green vegetables. Are they organic?

If not, you won’t get the essential minerals. Why?

Because the soil doesn’t have any in the first place. Minerals don’t magically appear out of thin air.

That’s why organic is key, they have more minerals due to a better agriculture that take notice of the importance of soil.

But also, the air your breath has toxins which is slowly killing you. Especially in some part of Asia. The air there is not recommended for deep meditation breathing exercises.

Everything you do is either helping or hurting your neurotransmitters, which controls how you think, feel and behave.

Do you check your phone the moment you wake up? You might have some dopamine deficiencies.

When you finally achieve the balance between neurons and brain chemistry.

Things will look different.

Focus, memory, attention, learning, social cognition, creativity, auditory memory, sight, smell, sensation, emotions, and more.

This wasn’t a problem until processing food heavily with chemicals appeared.

What happens inside your body? Chemical reactions.

Human beings have the ability to live for at least 120 years old. If not 140.

Hard to grasp the importance of nutrition if we cannot see inside our bodies and the reaction that’s going on.

Alzheimer’s is man-made. And so is ADHD.

Fluoride water from public water supplies is not so good.

Not a conspiracy, since the US government published this themselves. There are no illuminati that secretly controlling humans from a big antenna somewhere in Madagascar.

FDA approved drugs kills more people than the amount of people died in the Vietnam war.

Who do you blame? Nobody.

All you can do is use the right nootropics to detoxify the brain.

Or also use bacopa (one of thousand nootropics) to enhance your cognitive function.

I think this is the most important telling part of what you wrote. I mean this with no judgement because I've been there too many times, but you seem to be panicked about dying. Sure, maybe human beings can live to be 120, but why is living until 120 better than living to 80 or 90 which is about the average life expectancy? Is it just to have more time because you don't want to let go of life? This will make life very painful and stressful because you haven't made peace with the grim reaper yet. Attachment causes suffering. What is death anyway, but the loss of the present moment? And if you notice, the present moment is lost in every passing moment, so it's nothing that you haven't experienced yet. Human beings die thousands of deaths in their lifetime. So, I wouldn't waste any thoughts or emotions on wondering what's good or bad for you. You can never really know beyond faith in science and first-hand experimentation (but that's even a guess), so it isn't something that you have a lot of control over. Just do your best and avoid being hit by a bus, and you'll probably be alright. Let go of what you can't control.

@Emerald Wilkins

The loss of present moment?  What does this have to do with brain health? You're confused about some stuff.

But science in nutrition you can understand. Most studies are published at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/

It's to live a quality life and enjoy it with vitality and freedom from suffering.  Not escape something...9_9

Being able to use my brain with fully satisfied neurotransmitter.

So i can;

  • focus
  • be creative
  • sleep good
  • improve memory and learning rate
  • enhance my immune system
  • and adaptogenic herbs to adapt to environmental stresses and internal as well

It's not a hoax to improve cognitive abilities. I've done it myself :P Still using Ayurvedic medicine.

You can read my blog post, or at least the last one. It's useful information about natural nootropics to enhance  your brain.

nootropics gives me the mental edge to pursue my music career and study neuroscience and nutrition as well, as a hobby. Though It would be good to share some nice herbs with you guys, who do a lot of stuff at the same time.

And want to keep up and block out external stress with amazing ashwagandha.

life free from stress is living.

Ashwagandha is proven and a famous medicine to reduce cortisol and as result to make you cope stress better.

As long as you enjoy these health ventures, it's good and even beneficial. Just from the tone in your previous post, it had the energy of "I must avoid death" instead of the "I'm inspired to create a healthy life" feeling. I apologize for my misread.

haha! I think it's good to be clear and specific. No need for apologize it was fun. But writing directly in your face is better than trying to write a chapter, to the introduction to amazing nootropics.

Life is smooth with Adaptogens! At least try one bottle of Ashwagandha, it's super beneficial!

You can take it in the morning for steady flow of energy. And at night to sleep deeply and wake up ready to take over the world.
