what is the third eye?

I don't  know about that. Maybe it is related to some event in the spiritual journey. during tripping I had this huge energy climbing up to my third eye location but never was enough to open it

could be, you can probably speculate about the third eye til the cows home though

Let it do its thing. It does not require much from you to do. Breathe through it. Gaining knowledge is good. But that's not what opens it really.
