Is there simultaenously 2 hero's journeys?

I watched Leo talk about hero's journey, in two contexts: Life Purpose and Spiritual Enlightenment. 

My question is: This means, On this path of Self-Actualization, we are undertaking two hero's journey's at the same time? Or they just feed into one another? What you guys think?

Same path, they appear different sometimes but aren't. You can only take one step at a time.
