Relatively thoughtless state but with anxiety and neuroticism still present.

Sometimes I've finished meditating or working out and my mind is cleared of some noise, and what immediately can be seen left in my experience is a lot of pure anxiety and clinging. Quite painful. Can anyone relate?

Feels like I'm empty and I create the drama of ordinary consciousness and life to hide the emptiness.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

Anxiety exists thanks to thoughts my friend.

Anxiety withouth thoughts, is just body sensations. Feelings.

My advice: Maybe step up the meditation if you have time, and get closer to the feelings in your body.

Surrender to the anxiety. Try to see it what it is.

Isn´t the problem that there is a thought you think it shouldn´t be there?

Next time this happens to you, instead of seeing it as a bad thing, try to see it as an opportunity. If until now you would respond in a reactive way such as "this is not good. I just finished meditating and my mind is again anxious" try to give 20% of your attention to the feelings, and try not to judge the thoughts that make this feelings "bad".

Ive definitely felt this before.  It may be helpful to look deeper into the anxiety and clinging, but once you understand the story behind it, which may take time and doesn't necessarily mean it will make the feelings go away once you understand, just leave it be and accept and come to deep acceptance and peace with the anxiety and clinging being there..  Of course this is just one simple approach, there's definitely others.
