Started using duckduckgo thanks to this thread. Not regretting at all.

@Jj13 Well said! Apart from DuckDuckGo, I would personally also recommend StartPage (startpage.com) which is also a search engine. You can use StartPage If you want results from Google's web crawler, but don't want them to be personalized and privacy-invasive.
