There is this app called blinkist. It is about focused ideas from self development books. I was wondering if any of you guys use it and if it has the value necessary, because you have to purchase to fully use it.

I personally use brian johnson for book reviews

I also think it's better to read the books in whole and do contemplations to get in depth understanding

You won't gain knowledge from these apps, just surface level information. The real meat is in the books themselves. 

However they are good for giving you exposure to ideas you might like, which in itself can be valuable if you have no idea.
