Does reading the stars helps?

Hey there, 

Does reading the starts, cards, horoscope, predicting the future helps? 

If you are aware of even partially of what is going to happen, wouldn't you change the path of whatever you expect, even slightly and involuntary? 

Or you may argue that "you don't have any control and all the actions are taken for you". In this case I may choose to do nothing and to expect the premonition to take place. 

Did I sound too... blue-ish? Hopefully not. Thanks ?? ?
