All my questions about enlightenment

6 posts in this topic

1) do enlightened people hold absolutes as "beliefs" in their mind

Absolute goodness, perfection, intelligence etc..

2) do enlightened people not identify with their thoughts or is it the fact that there is no such thing as thoughts in the first place, its like it doesn't exist

This is all i can think of at the moment, ill add as i go along.

1) An absolute is not a belief. You can hold a belief in an absolute, but that would be a belief, not an absolute.

2) An enlightened person is identified with nothing. Thoughts arise, just like birds chirp when you walk outside. It's not a big deal. You don't need to kill the birds, nor do you need them chirping all the time or in any particular way. You are detached from the chirping such that it's fine either way.

@Leo Gura  so would an absolute be held simply as T ruth not truth

so because a belief is relative , that's its classification for belief

so lets say hypothetically, i have no beliefs, but i only hold ABSOLUTE TRUTHs

this is not considered a person with beliefs

Truth or an absolute is not held at all. It is just what is. Isness itself is an absolute. In fact, the absolute is all there ever is.

The present moment is absolute, but ego is not conscious of this. To be simply conscious of the present moment is the closest you can get to the absolute. Or take a psychedelic.
