Who Am I?

Does an elightened person identify with something or do they identify with nothing which is what makes them enlightened?

You are not your Driver's License.

In the same way, an Enlightened Person realizes they are not their Body/Thoughts/Ego/etc.

I don't know if "identifying with nothing" is the correct way to put it...

...BUT, let's not get nit picky over semantics here.

I think it's more like "Not Identifying".

So this "I" isn't my consciousness or the ever present moment, the I simply does not exist?

Identifying...would still need an identity behind it. So enlightened and person don't belong together as terms.

I as you know it, is an illusion. I is only a form embraced by other types of forms of manifestation... different textures, colors, essences, still...everything one :)

When you hear the word LOVE - it seems like such a small word... but it can have so many facets to it, so many forms and images, memories, projections, drama, joy... they are not separated from love, they are not emerging from love, they are not flowing from love. They all are love. In it, outpouring from it, generating it and results of it.

This is who "I" really is. All of it - a happening of love!

Nothing outside of love.

@Ayla

What do you mean by love? A feeling? How would you describe this if you have never heard of word "love" and if you have never heard spiritual teachers talk about some kind of this very special love?

@Naviy

Have you ever been in-love?

Have you ever really hated?

Take everything in-between and merge with the extremes.

Expand that to all there is.

To "this me here" ... that is love.

:)

Cogito ergo sum - I think, therefore I am.

An englightened person think this quote from Descartes is false. This sentence means the identification with ego. If we can observe that we are thinking, then we are something greater than our mind. It can be called consciousness. This is interesting to think about. :)

You just put that in a nutshell.
