The question is can the movement of thought drive out the movement of thought??

Nothing is stable ?

But meditation in itself is not a movement of thought. Then again we should ask the question if we want to calm the mind down or to realize reality as it is? Depending on focus and intention these two are very different. ?

?I agree. But there is only actual meditation with the cessation of time.

 To me it’s the wanting to calm the mind down to realize “reality” that prevents that very happening from being realized.

I understand. But the way I see it, it’s the “focus and intention” that prevents union with what is. To be choicless. 

The movement of time is the barrier to what is. 

This is how I see it from my non experiencing:)
