Buying Matcha Online?

10 posts in this topic

I live in a weird little country. It's in Europe, but it feels like it's in Africa. I found matcha tea once and can't find it ever since.

Luckily we do have access to www.ebay.co.uk and www.aliexpress.com

Anyone ordered matcha and/or other "superfoods" from one of these services?

I buy my Matcha green tea at a local health-food store. It's made by Green Foods, organic, 1774 ORAC, 11 oz (312 g) can for about $30. Just checked Amazon.com and they also carry a variety of different brands of it. Haven't been a huge ebay shopper, but will check out the links above/ customer reviews on the quality and purchase satisfaction. Thanks.

fyi- with services like www.myus.com you can get yourself a US address, have things shipped there, and they will forward it anywhere in the world. I used it while travelling across Europe and Asia, works very well :).

I am a rooibos tea drinker and like to drink tea in the evening to relax.

Sadly there is no decaf matcha to be found. But I have found roibos matcha from bluebridteaco and on minvita.co.uk.

How does regular matcha compare in taste to green tea? I already don't really like green tea to begin with. I imagine the taste is just even stronger?

Do you drink this as if it was tea or is it different to tea?

I've read that consumption of Matcha must be dosed - it has a lot of caffeine. So what is better - simple green tea or fashionable Matcha? ^_^
