Its philosophical. It is dangerous if applied by someone in 3rd world country or someone outside Anglosphere
Anything works in US

Mastery is a rare thing. In a 3rd world country is extra rare because you have more survival pressure. But also, the examples on the book are of people of different countries and different times in history. You can't really overlook that. Some of them didn't even have electricity.

@Human Mint the average guy will get fucked really hard if he try to find passsion / purpose. there are not enough jobs. like if you find out your passion is physics and you are 27 years old, you are screwed. you need 5 years of bachelors and masters to get PHD. and even then there are no research opertunities in india. they are forced to go abroad.

the odds are against you

i know mastery philosophy more than anyone in this forum , and believe me its garbage

i wish i listened to stephen covey or david allen instead of other wannabe self help gurus

bob proctor or jack canfield or bryan tracy are also fine

@Ramanujan There are a lot of caveats with the notion of passion. You kinda have to carve it out. I think you need more than 5 years, because the mind is very stubborn. And you have to do more side work than what a phd can offer you. Also academia can screw your passion too.

Passion is inherent to your condition as a human, you can't really avoid it. It is how you're able to get things done.

Purpose is more straithtfoward. When you go to the foodmarket you have the purpose of eating.
