Mock child therapy

8 posts in this topic

I have been using AI to mimick the methods of child therapy. I think it is proving very helpful. It explains trauma in a way a six year old can understand. Then it is combined with coping mechanisms kids would use.

In my case drawing was very helpful. One thing you can do is take a symbol of shame and turn it into something funny. There was an incident in which I started mimicking adults who used the middle finger without knowing what it means. Therefore, I changed the meaning to something else or the opposite. I turned the middle finger into a symbol of pure love and joy.

The AI is saying that I'm not made of the things that happened to me. I thought I was made of what happened to me which is why I thought I was unlovable. I should probably explore this idea of what I'm made of if not traumatic experiences. I also had this pattern in childhood of repeating behaviors and thoughts that bothered me but which I didn't understand. It is me trying to make sense of things so they don't catch me off guard any more. This would explain why I developed a thorough understanding of sex offender profiles in the hopes that it would protect me.

I also tend to have recurring dreams of content that bothers me as I attempt to come to terms with it. This was combined with the early belief that exposure to bad content causes me nightmares which in turn corrupts me and makes me a tainted and disgusting being who has become irredeemable.

I think it helps to work out these questions in a way a young child could understand. This seems to help in reparenting. I usually resort to AI when the therapist I need isn't available or I otherwise can't get human help with this.

What do you think of this?

I think you still better not give any children the middle finger.

Jokes aside, it sounds as if you are intelligently exploring your healing options, but haven't quite landed on a method yet.  What methods is your therapist trained in;  CBT, IFS, EMDR, etc?

I tried emdr with another therapist. I tried it but had mixed results. We eventually stopped. I feel like I need somebody who loves me for who I am. My parents didn't and I never learned how to love myself as a consequence. There love was always conditional on me erasing myself.

There appears to be a chemical imbalance created in my brain as a consequence of my experiences such as the excessive shame and lack of acceptance. What I need to learn isn't learned intellectually, but rather through relationships. I am willing to try dating, but my job situation is really annoying right now.

sorry @Joseph Maynor   thats another video full of crup, like 99.99999% of YouTube (referring to hitler made me sick)

That's not therapy, not even video therapy...

(There are millions of people praying to god right now.... that's their therapy... simple as that)

Enough is the only word you will ever need to feel ok. Feel it and believe in it! (especially if someone's suffered a lot)

.

Next step is realization... rejection... seeking.. etc. ( damened Leo... you thought everything in my face) (love u 2)

.

. The fast way is more than ok also !!! (God loves you anyway) You're dead already! (maybe the show goes on and on... until you are sick of it!)

.

And I call it a show, 'cause I know I leave in 1 month's buffer

(who ordered this?)

.

. Bottom line  .. I'm dead already, you're dead already.. Let's see how the show goes!

.

I better go mute...  (there is  no ground to be found anywhere-anytime-anyplace)

.

. anyway..Who likes to punch me? To fix things up

Since you're focusing on relationships, and you clearly have some very difficult ones in your past and likely present, I recommend Non-Violent Communication (NVC) to you if you're not familiar.  You may also find the Enneagram to be an interesting personality typology for advancing your understanding of both yourself and others, better than the MBTI in my opinion.  Also, as always, don't neglect your relationship with yourself, as that is the one that is going to carry through to everything else.  The effort and kindness and consideration you offer to others should come from first offering it to yourself, as that is how you can understand it from the inside rather than just acting.

Also, I recommend Internal Family Systems (IFS) to everyone.  If you're ever bored, check it out and see if it resonates;  it's been absolutely critical for me.
