And Russell was able to kick heroin.

Which means that mentally he should be strong enough to survive in there.

I couldn't believe this. But I listened to a story where this guy had a DUI and killed his own daughter.  His son was also in the car and lived. He did a 20 year bid and his wife and son stuck by him and were at the parole hearing.  They just wanted him to come home.

20 years, Wow, that's some loyalty.

He had good people. Because on the other hand they could have just abandoned him.

And that would be natural also. Asking someone to wait 20 years is unreasonable

Wow he did? Yeah that's a pretty big feat. I think his family sticking by him will be key to his survival. Remember Aaron Hernandez.  Just a fall from grace and he killed himself. He couldn't handle the shame. But he was facing life too.

Not to minimize the trauma of rape, but there does seem to be this perception that it's impossible to heal completely from such an ordeal as the victim.

I remember once speaking to a coach, who worked a lot with rape survivors.

He spoke of this one client who had healed to such an extent that she referred to the rapist as her liberator.

ie the process of forgiveness, acceptance of what happened etc,  brought her to a completely new place of awareness and self love.

Yeah, I think DMT changed him a lot.

I hope he gets off the weed at some stage though.

I guess they call it programming.   he's gonna have to do a lot of classes and programming in order to get out. He's gonna have to humble himself. But those programs are good. Anyone who takes advantage of a women vulnerable should be held accountable

I was speaking of healing from the victim's perspective there.

Yeah, I'm not sure if there actually are official programs to rehabilitate rapists.

Yeah that's crazy dude. Liberator?  I guess that shows the damage done. That she has to make peace with it like that.

I think the point is she found a way to heal completely.

Which means her level of consciousness was now higher than before the event.

Hence, as crazy as it sounds, some form of gratitude for the perpetrator exists.

I don't think gratitude is the right word. Forgiveness ok.  And you're still pushing it.

In that interview above, with his flat mate, before he was famous, apparently Russell said his goal was to sleep with 5000 women.

I'm not sure what causes men to rape though.

I mean how would you reform a serial killer for example.

I guess the only real way is to have an awakening.

I know it sounds extreme, but that's how she expressed it.

It's like being grateful for something really terrible, because it eventually brought you to an even better place.
