(Personal) Problems with culture change in Europe due to immigration

Yes, some immigrant groups cause crimes disproportionately.
In Germany it is 5 times the quota of native Germans. You can read it in the official reports the German police releases anually.
Especially people of the Maghreb states (Algeria, Libya, Morocco und Tunesia) have one of the highest rates.

And heavy crimes are rising.
In the example of Germany in 2014 there where 456 cases of sexual coercions and rape from immigrant suspects. In 2025 this number rose to 1370.
The numbers for bodily harm through assault are 26.694 in 2015 to 55.366 in 2026.

Think of all the terror attacks that happend. Terrorists running around with AK47s mowing down innocent people, running through crowds with cars, stabbing people in broad daylight.
You have to be willfully ignorant to not notice that.

Anecdotes of my life: In my hometown, which has like 7k inhabitants, two Syrians deliberately set fire to the barbershop they ran in a multistory building. The building set ablaze and a family of eight living above had to break through a wall to escape it alive.

My dad was in a pub once when a islamic terrorist did a shooting spree in the same neighborhood killing several people. He heard the gunshots outside while it happened.

there are enough terrorist crimes done by Germans, the differeenxe is they are mentioned only once and thats it. But when a brown person  commits it the media intentionally fires it up for many weeks. Its a fact.

Germany is on of the Main Complicits in the Genocide against the Palestinians and In The total destruction of their homeland.

Which crime could be worse, some lonely criminals or a whole state supporting an entire genocide?

Germany and Europe were the Main buyers of Russian oil and gas and still are and therefore helped Putin to destroy Syria in an 14 year civil war, which crime could be worse than that?

Go to Eastern Germany and the majority of crimes is being done by NeoNazis who are Germans and believe that their race is superior. They set fire to asylum homes and beat immigrants on the streets.

You say some people from the maghreb commit statistically more crimes than the average person, allright but not all immigrants are from there and not all that are from there commit crimes, so the problem is a lack of law enforcement. Get those that commit crimes and deport them, don't generalise for all immigrants so once you see somebody who is black or brown you start to panick.

Don't forget how many blacks or brownshabve been exterminated or enslaved by your ancestors and how many are today still being killed due to the greedy and corrupt politicians sitting in the EU parliament enriching themselves with disgusting weapon or oil and gas trades and blocking sanctions of criminal countries and politicians that should be sent to the international  court in Den Haag.

As far as I know it was the USA, a majority white country that enslaved millions of Africans, killed 4 million people in Vietnam 1 million in Iraq and is sanctioning the international  criminal court that seeks justice to those opressed and victims of war crimes.

Don't be so one-sided. If we add up the crimes committed by the USA and Europe as a whole we have an exponentially higher number than those lonely crimes that you mention

You post a picture of happy teenagers that are brown or black and portray them as a danger, that is colonial thinking revived. That's how millions of people from Africa were enslaved by you white people in order to create the wealth you now enjoy in Europe. Without the harsh slave labour of Africans, Europe would be a place of no importance with no wealth at all. Europeans massacred the entire indigenous populations in America, south America and Australia and made most of them alcoholics and drug addicts.

Europeans did enormous damage to other societies, no doubt about that.

And that's why Europeans are always morally and intellectually backwards and retarded, sorry to break it to you.

Is this an example of racism you want to give me?

and now the complicity of the majority of criminal european politicians in the genocide against the Palestinians

That is really a shame in my eyes. I guess this is due to feelings of guilt and weapon sales revenues.

And just let all the Immigrants leave your country, nothing in your economy would work anymore, in Germany there wouldn't be any nurses, package delivery, food delivery, cleaning, taxis, hospitals wouldn't work anymore, buses wouldn't drive anymore, supermarkets wouldn't open anymore, absolutely nothing would work anymore, be more grateful to those people that you people enslaved and massacred for centuries even today in 2026.

European countries depend a lot on migrants for doing hard, dirty, low pay and, assistent work.

The economy would re-adapt without them of course, as it adapted to them in the first place.
There would be shortages, but no collapse.

I don't see a problem with honest, diligent and morally developed migrants being part of society. That's not my point. Read my post again.

In my opinion. This country is just a shame.

Do you want to live in such a shameful country?

@LordFall

Isn't Canada the same country that until 1996 took the children off the indigenous people away and separated them from their Families by force to eliminate the Indigenous inside them?

This conversation that white people are inherently more developed in their ethics and morals is such nonsense.

Isn't the USA the country  that had an Apartheid until the 1960s? And now has that terrorist organisation called ICE that beats down Latinos on the streets?

These morally superior Europeans and Americans are in my opinion just a new stage of white supremacist all whole complicity massacring little palestinian children In Their own honelamd

Your reply sounds to me more like Stage Green moral outrage vs Stage Yellow systemic thinking. Understand our history and how the states we inhabit were formed is very important. The current politicians today are not the same ones that operated the Canadian Indian residential school system nor is that what we were discussing in terms of immigrants assimilating in a culture.

If you have a particular interest in discussing the history of First Nations in Canada I would be curious to do so as well as I think they actually did not assimilate well to our current society and the system that was used historically and even today clearly is not working. I'm interested in solutions and how we make our world better than it is 5 and 10 years from now; if you have some in mind feel free to share as that's a valuable topic to discuss.

@Ima Freeman I'm just countering your racism, you feel bad having seen a group of migrants and couldnt spread your love anymore.

I see Neonazis everyday and still smile at them for inside them still sits an innocent soul allthough they are morally corrupted.

And the statement that you have no problem against migrants who are legally working there.

1. Migrants are not only working objects most of them lost their homes because of the European Union war policies, especially Syrians and Palestinians

You and many other Europeans always talk like that, and that makes us migrants or descendants of migrants have to prove our "kindness" thousand times more than a white person.

We have to go through ordeals sometimes only to receive your approving, and at the end you just tolerate us for having realised that we are humans too and now we can live in your "amazing" country, we have to be grateful for being here, otherwise you give us the most horrible names.

I have seen enough of such things seriously

@Schahin it was until 1996 so it's not so far in the past. The current war crimes and bloodshed that western countries shamelessly support are very present and affect millions of people.

To think that because for the last 30 or 60 years some Western countries supposedly have developed a sense for human rights and that they have always been morally superior is delusional, because that's exactly what the rise of fascist is currently showing us, that it's only an experiment and is failing very rapidly.

The far right extremist AfD in Germany where plenty of members have sympathies with the Nazis and Adolf Hitler are currently the strongest party in Germany.

The humanistic experiment has been of a short time and Western countries will eventually become degenerate again, allthough huge part of the population may retain what they have learnt between the era of colonization and enslaving the world and World war 2 and the era of today

I would take the issue from a first principles perspective and look at why the situation is happening and who is profiting from it. Some migrants are problematic but most are just looking for a better life and have no problem offering value to the society they're joining.

Why are your politicians so lazy in assimilating those migrants and what are they gaining by allowing unrestricted immigration?

I'm in Montreal currently and the Quebec government is one of the best in the world at integrating immigrants. Migrants are forced to take french classes funded by the government and it ends up in a society where people from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds are living and working together with not that much issue. Not to say Quebec is perfect but it seems to be miles ahead of what's going on in Europe and we rarely hear about migrant crime here even though the switch from a solely Caucasian population to a multicural one happened just the same.

I'm a 2nd generation immigrant and my Dad from Chad to study here and then chose to build a life for himself in Canada when he met my mom who was a french Canadian woman. I feel totally Canadian whereas a lot of 2nd generation european immigrants see themselves as the culture they come from and they now have an opportunity to stick it back to the white man or some weird inferiority complex they still carry today.

I would say I've integrated so well to North America that I've outgrown the Quebecois culture which is more socialistic and anti capilistic but I can still mingle in it at ease which also fitting into more American minded cities like Toronto.

In Quebec and Canada, immigrants cause LESS crimes than the native population. In a lot of European countries, the immigrants cause 2-3x more crimes than the native population. That's an insane difference and you absolutely should hold your elected officials responsible for these outcomes.

It's easy to blame unruly youths in the streets for you feeling personally uncomfortable but they are not the ones responsible for how their parents have integrated into your community. Government policies handle that.

In Europe mostly neoliberal and social democratic parties are responsible for the incompetency of handling miass migration and subsequent integration.
There ways of thinking worked well in the past, but in today's world, where you have a huge influx of migrants from lesser developed societies, it shows it's inadequacies.

Consider which kind of migrants enter Europe and which Canada.
Europe was swarmed by poor, desperate people, risking their lives by crossing oceans and walking 1000s of miles.
In Canada, I guess, more wealthy, developed migrants enter by plane.

@Ima Freeman

And even they would have loved to stay in their countries if Europeans and Americans wouldnt have complicitly destroyed their homes and families

Nobody flees his or her country because of fun

Syria (by financing Russias war machinery), Iraq, Palestine and even the surge of the ayatollahs in Iran ( due to the hardcore american inteference in iranian politics, look at Mossadegh and the CIA Coup) would have all been flourishing countries if Europeans and Americans hadn't complicity destroyed them

So beyond your post-colonial grievances, how do we suggest that we move forward to make our societies productive and safe?

That's a very real geopolitical truth. The US mainly flourished as a superpower due to Oceans protecting its borders and being basically impossible to invade. Europe doesn't have that luxury and it's a great part of why it and the middle east are conflict ridden regions. The solutions that we propose and our politicians implement must consider these truths if they are be viable and not just based in virtue signalling.

The geopolitical games the US and Soviet Union/Russia played in the Middle East caused a lot of damage for sure.
It's really complicated if you think about it. They countered themselves to ensure the balance of power.
Sadly for the Middle East, they are in the middle of it all and had weak political systems due to colonization, that is just truth.
While Iraq was invaded by the US and some European militaries (France opposed that btw), Syria for example was mainly a battle between internal actors (with some influence by outside countries).
So, it is not so easy as to always criticize the Europeans.
These societies have to find their own way, as Europeans did themselves.

The Middle Easterners are responsible for how they act as well. Don't always play the victim card.

Back to the original theme: Geopolitical turmoil does not justify migrants behaving poorly in Europe. It is a systemic problem, yes. But individuals are responsible for their actions and should be held accountable.

Never did I say that all migrants are violent, but a disproportionate number of them turn out to do crimes and violent behaviour.

I laid out my prejudice in my original post and I want to change generalizing migrants, that's what is important to me.
I met some Syrians, Kurds, Africans, etc. who I vibed well with and who in my eyes are well developed.

Maybe it is the classic conflict between rich and poor, less so between cultures, that I'm feeling.

I am the child of Immigrants living in Germany and have experienced enormous racism in my childhood with extreme exclusion, only due to the migration waves that I can live a more normal life because my skincolour is represented more demographically.. and I was excluded exactly because of these unnecessary hatred towards foreigners that you potray here

Hey @Schahin , I'm interested in seeing the other side as well.

Which region did your parents come from?

What was your experience growing up, how was the atmosphere from the standpoint of someone with migration background?

And where did you experience overt racism?

I would also be interested in your view, how the culture changed in the last decade.
