Huge border rush on Spanish border

2 posts in this topic

About 50k or more Morroco rush the border of Ceute, a small Spanish enclave in Northern African, trying to get into Europe for a better life. Rush likely caused by misunderstanding of recent Spanish ruling about expulsion of sea crossing migrants.

About 25k have already returned due to a lack of shelter and food.

About 57 have died, mostly from drowning, but also from crowd crushing.

Italy is not al dente. Wants Spain to be excluded from EU open border policy due to the migrant crisis. The vibe has definitely changed since the 2010s relative to migration. There's an obvious tension between human rights and border control that needs to be negotiated.
