Indescribable mystery “ is a separate realization than the absolute self .

It’s not a separate realisation. It’s the same realisation appearing as a different concept.

All these words used to describe the ineffable are known concepts, known by the only knowing there is, which is one singular absolute knowing. Knower and known are One.

You are the singular one absolute knowing that cannot be known, because “one knowing’ is by definition solipsistic.

This one singular absolute knowing is never separate from the concept known. Concepts know nothing, and that’s what you are. You are the knowing that cannot be known. There’s no other knowing.

If you're laughing something good is happening :)

I agree! I just see it as, its not that he is doing it to me, but already I had it in me to be able to resonate with him, some degree of openness but also connection because I'm still perceiving him as "someone" from my pov on some level, although different from how I percieve people in everyday life ofc because its a totally different presence dominating the expression

Yeah, when I listen to him, I would almost compare it to a type of psychedelic, it's like I can feel an unravelling happening in the background, without any effort on my part.

Yeah, complete cessation of the sense of a separate self.

Thats the impression I get too.

For me his message is also very similar to Leo's teaching about "look at your hand".

Nah Jim is more simple, he includes the human experience as something reality does, and theres nothing you really can do to end that, Leo is kinda suggesting some action step you can take

Okay, but the "look at your hand" exercise of Leo, is also pointing to what Jim is saying about: It's already here now

Errr , cos we’re here to discuss Jim’s nondual insights, not your personal search for a girlfriend. But good luck, hope you catch her one day. 🤞

But Who’s looking for a girlfriend?Apparently there’s just the story that Someone here is searching for someone else. That’s the dream.

If a girlfriend appears..that’s what seems to be happening..it’s just what arises or what seem to be happening apparently . If she doesn’t..that’s what’s happening too.

The joke is that nobody catches anyone. There isn’t anyone to catch.. and there isn’t anyone doing the catching. But the search can be wonderfully entertaining.

There’s another “look at your hand” exercise by teacher Francis Lucille.

Lucille, a leading figure in the Direct Path tradition of Advaita Vedanta, uses this specific exercise to collapse the illusion of the separated subject (you) observing an external object (the hand). By shifting your perspective, it points to the nondual realization that everything is ultimately a singular field of pure consciousness.

He said: are you looking at your hand, or is your hand looking at you?

It’s an excellent pointing to the collapse of subject and object duality.

Do you like Spira? I think Newman likes to try to confuse people, I think he's in it for business.

I like all of them. They all bring different ways of looking at the same empty principles tbh. It’s different that’s all, same difference. That’s the ultimate comic joke. The yolk is on you, leaving nothing left to do but laugh.

That's a cool exercise, thank you.

(Yeah, I think he was Rupert Spira's original teacher.

Yeah us seeker’s who question the who is the who already have the answer to the question. I mean where else is the answer going to come from if not from the one who questions? LoL 😂

It’s like chasing your own tail until you catch it. Dizzy stuff, eh. 😵‍💫

I use to listen to Spira a lot. And then I kind of went off nonduality teachings for a few years.

Only discovered Newman recently from a post here on the forum.

Something clicked. I actually find his message quite clear.

I'm curious, what do you view as confusing in his message ?

I really don't think he's in this for the money per say.

(He only charges like 10 dollars for his monthly zoom calls, and you can watch the replay for free on youtube.)

That's exactly what I love about listening to Jim's message, it's like the questions begin to melt away by themselves :)

Yes indeed, and then there was Leo Hartong’s nondual pointing that said.. Nonduality ,  is the one question to all our answers…. That one’s very good.
