Lets analyze the quote: 

"You are mistaken the physical world with your mind". Who is doing it? The owner of the mind? Someone who is separated from the mind who makes valorations? Like another mind? Weird. Then this entity would realize that the external world is imaginary. Wtf, this entity who's confusing the mind with the physical world is doing a lot of things, it's not a duality, it's a Trinity. Sounds so cool that must be true. 

But look it's simpler. The mind is happening in interaction with the universe, both are process that are happening and are real, there is no mystery, just the reality. Why to make complicated what it's simple? The self is not believing the mind is this or that, it's the mind. The mind is the process that happen in a complex structure self preserved that interact with the universe, just what seems to happen.

It’s true in a sense even though I’m not sure what is the clutch here. My mental state is in direct correlation with the physical world .  Obviously they are inseparable. Since they both are parts of reality they must be related.  The question is which one is more fundamental? Or are Leo saying both are one ? But if both are one then it’s a strange loop . But the clutch seems to be that the mental is more Fundamental as Leo is a proponent of idealism .
