Two important spiritual principles to help you achieve peace

The first one ..I hope this is not repetitive or taken for granted but it’s liberating and peaceful to realize . You don’t have any power over what’s going to happen to you in life . It’s all being done for you by a mysterious power which we cannot fully comprehend. Consider yourself.. the breath coming in and out of your lungs 24/7 ..you as you conventionally think of yourself obviously don’t do your breath . The lungs do . You don’t tell your heart “beat now and stop now “ ..it just beats on its own . Your visual perception isn’t your doing ..because try to NOT perceive without closing your eyes or interfering with your perception organs .. the perception process happens on its own accord . Again you as the conventional you is not doing your perception. And obviously all of you are familiar with the notion that you don’t really do your thoughts .
then what do you do ? Again I’m talking about the conventional definition of you . You don’t breathe and you don’t perceive and you don’t get hungry on command and Your body  does not ask you permission when you should go to the toilet or when you should have a cold drink or hot drink . Then what do you do ? Quite literally nothing at all .  It’s all being done for you . You are just the consciousness that is just sitting there doing nothing even if you are juggling 8 soccer balls on your shoulders you are still not doing anything. 
now what’s the significance of this simple realization? That get off your high horse brothers . As much as you can try to humble yourself . Don’t let the ego control you . Don’t say “I did this “..”I teach this “ “I deserve that “ “I’m better than him or her “ .  And the reward is not passive minded nobody .. the reward is living life carefree and grounded in your own true nature.

 

second one ..the endless desire for possessions . Leo made a very beautiful post about billionaires . I will go ahead .. literally imagine you’ve got the entire earth as your possession. You’re the king of the entire earth. All human beings and all wealth and palaces and desires are all yours . Please notice something very subtle here ..what’s is actually going to happen to you is you will feel total emptiness and depression. It’s called the disillusionment of completeness . Everyone are busy in the rat race trying to build their life to more and more luxury and wealth. Nothing at all wrong here. I want that shit too . But REALLY what is going to happen after you’ve owned everything ? You will have the biggest mindfuck ever ..it did nothing to you . You’re NOT truly happy or full . Do you agree ? Try it as a thought experiment and see if what I’m saying is true . Maybe thought experiment is not enough and you need to actually burn the karma and experience a wild life full of excitement by all means go for it . But you know in the end nothing will make you really happy other than finding yourself and finding your inner peace . It’s all about inner peace and fulfillment and gratitude.

so to give a summary : cut this nonsense out of your life:

“I did this.”
“I achieved that.”
“I deserve more.”
“I’m better than him.”
“I’m wiser than her.

By all means… pursue your goals.. Build a successful life. Explore the world. Chase your dreams. ..But remember that no external achievement can permanently fill an internal void.
In the end ..and there is no escaping facing this truth : peace..fulfillment and gratitude arise from within.

Maybe you don't get depressed because you would be deeply stupid, that's why you reached that point. I don't say stupid as an insult, I have been so stupid in many fields that's unbelievable, but that's the human nature, when you are in a specific emotional level, you are there and nobody can show you anything except what you can see. 

Imo a couple of things are important in life. Put your energy working is something that you really like, or better, love. Be able to build deep and real true relationship and see the real value of them. We are not islands, pleasure seekers, that's a mistake. Living putting the best of yourself in the game every moment.

Do you think that bezos, Trump or bill gates are depressed because they feel empty? I don't think so, they are obsessed with power and that keep them alive. Maybe it's egoic, superficial or anything but they love it

What’s being said is no quantity of this ilk of happiness is going to make you feel really happy deep down . You will still overthink about your death late at night .

Yes everyone know that money doesn't bring real happiness and that but this doesn't mean that some millionaires can't have a happy life. Maybe not perfect like Buddha but great majority of people neither.

At least that people have a vector, a passion. Nowadays more and more people is getting like irrelevant, without purpose, isolated and crazy. I think it's good to see it, because if you finish in that dead end, things could become dark

I'm all for everyone experiencing their best.  In this sense I have no judgement.  I know we all come from different perspectives.  I don't want to lord my perspective over anybody once I see where they stand.

I think this is important point . People are always looking at life through filters like their own life experience and cultural experiences and convictions. Everyone is paradigm locked . This happened to me a lot in real life . And online as well . I have mental flexibility to understand that no two persons share the exact same worldview . People lack listening. Listening just listening to others without immediately puking their own ready made opinions . When you say there is nothing you can do to prevent death ..one person reads this statement and immediately reasonates because he lost a loved one recently . Another person reads this and think “ is this guy depressed?”.
