But I don’t have a car so I can’t go further with my potential employer, I don’t know what to do honestly, what would you do if you were in my shoes, I wanted to rent a car but I will not be able to do it by the time they would hire me (next week)

Move again in a bigger city, or a city close to a big one so you can take the train regularly; it seems to me SNCF has some mensuel offers for this situation.

Bigger cities means higher rents than I can currently afford.

Is public transportation available to you, both logistically and financially? If you are out of options you should contact your employer or your coworkers, if they're willing to hire you that must mean they see you as an asset to them, especially since you're in western Europe they'd be willing to work something out - kinda like banks, they also don't really want you to fuck up. Just do whatever it takes to get to that first paycheck

I live in the countryside. The problem is that I can take the bus in the morning, but then I can't take it home because there aren't any buses at the time I finish work. I talked about it to that potential employer, they can’t do anything for me, I need to sort it out by myself or I will miss the opportunity

I don't know how far you live from your place of work, nor whether you need to show there every single work day or whether there is a hybrid option, that would either expand your options or make things even more difficult. If it's an every day thing and far away, the only thing in my mind would be asking coworkers if they don't live in your general direction and take you back home for this month with them, offering them to pay back fully your share for their fuel spent or something like that once you get the paycheck. Idk about renting or getting a used car with a zero-down financing, but you should check out if it's available for you, just in case. If the place of work is however closer and you don't need to be there every day, now your options expand a little - you can maybe afford a taxi/Bolt home, depending on how much money you have. If you have next to nothing, then that is a difficult situation to be in

Sell something if you can/able to

I didn't think of that lol, but indeed I'm thinking of moving back to Toulouse to share accommodation in September or October; so if you're interested you can PM me eventually.

If the opportunity is so good and rare, i would figure it out, i will put the job as the priority and sacrifice other things until i can be stable again.
