there is nobody receiving the experience, nobody who is aware or the fact of existing.

The fact of being aware of existing is what we call "you" or self.

We?  You got a twin brother Smashingthefence or Kickingtherock? 😉

I get what you mean though.

But then, why even say "being aware" "you" "self" ?

Awareness implies a someone or something "being aware".

Same with experience, experience implies "an experiencer".

It was clearly recognized that this identification, (the aware experiencer) wasn't actually real and/or there at all........it was assumed to be there, but upon close inspection, it ultimately lacked in reality and had never been from the start. It just never was. It had only seemed to be. (thats why referred to as self illusion)

Anyways, that sense of awareness/experience, was later realized to just be the 5 bodily senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, feel.......coupled with the spiritually conditioned imagination..........yahtzee, feels like a someone/something is aware and observing.

@VeganAwake Clarity post. 👆

Clarity reigns supreme. Kind of like the IT in ITS raining.

Is the IT in the ITS or is the ITS in the IT? There’s no ITS in IT - but there’s always IT in ITS

It's quite obvious; let's see if you can continue denying it. Processes occur in the universe, some of them incredibly complex, creating a model of reality, like an interface between the external and the internal, and we call this the conscious mind.

The fact of being conscious implies a conscious subject. Who is this subject? The process that is occurring. It knows it exists, that it is a process, and that if its head is cut off with a samurai sword, the process ends. Where's the mystery?

Is it, in your opinion, an illusion that you exist as an interconnected process we call human? The process is the very fact of being conscious and the self, since the fact of being conscious always, absolutely always, implies a self. There is no consciousness without a self, even if it's completely basic, like that of a newborn sardine.

The sardine knows absolutely nothing except that it is, and that is the self. It knows it is because it has a brain that processes information and creates a predictive model with memory, even if it's a goldfish's memory. This implies a self. Who is the self? The process that we call sardine. Is it complicated? If the process ends, the self ends, but any other conscious experience would be a self.

Then we could say: the reality has self. Because it's conscious of itself through the sardines, that knows that they are

And how did you do this introspection? You started to think: where is the self? Oh, it's nowhere! Then there is no self! Well, maybe some people like scientist and those dumbs could think that your investigation was, let's say, not so profound as if could be.

Maybe you need that conclusion because you listened it in some videos of non duality and you felt that this would be freedom? Just think about it
