Not conditioned by religion per se , but conditioned by our society a make-belief believed via the mental construction of human linguistics.

No one ever awakened.

Words, which denote first principles cannot be defined, people think that they can but they ignore the blatant fact that they are either self referential, or anthropomorphic.

In this never ending story of make-belief. In this conception.

No "Person" Awakens: Enlightenment is not an experience that happens to a person, as that implies the person (ego) can possess or lose it. Instead, it is the realisation that the person is not the ultimate reality, but rather awareness itself.

 

Who awakens: It was I: and yet, it was not I.

We might say, everybody has two "I"s.
