On what grounds were you free to leave after five months?

The court's order.

It hugely depends what kind and degree of awakening we are talking about. Heavy kasina practice always causes hallucinations (although controlled) . The Buddha must've done some kasina too.

High enough dose of Vipassana too.

Specificially after you've already had fruitions weird shit is going to happen.

Even something as low level as an OBE can get you a diagnosis.

Just trip and come down? Sure, that won't get you a diagnosis.

My brother called them out of spite.

Daniel Ingram has probably had more hallucinations than me. The only reason he doesn't end up in a psych ward is that he surrounds himself with understanding people.

Why not the next day? Why not a week?

I think my parents smeared me to someone who gave them information about "my mental state". I have no idea how this works internally.

How many times were you given a reevaluation of your state and whether you could leave or had to stay for longer?

I was talking to a psychiatrist every week, but no formal reevaluation as far as I know.

Maybe once when a judge advocate came.

So you got committed by somebody who thought you were acting inappropriately (but it was actually also out of spite), then you get a diagnosis of schizophrenia based on an assessment of your symptoms (but it was actually illegitimate/inaccurate), then when you were talking to a psychiatrist every week, it took 5 months for them to think you might be fit to leave (which was actually due to somebody smearing you from behind the scenes for 5 months)? I don't know, either you're really unlucky, or you might not be giving the most accurate portrayal of your situation.

When I said that other people's posts barely mean anything to me,

It's because I realise that whatever they are saying, I know that it is simply my perception of what they are saying. There is nobody there. It is only my perception.

All this deep thinking has made me lose my mind. Which may or may not be a good thing.

I see the interconnected nature of everything now. I realise that the smallest of actions can have huge consequences.

That's why I must be more careful of what I post.

Have you ever heard the phrase "at the end of the day, it's night".

I've heard many people say that, and it's crazy to think that it was actually ME who invented that phrase. I used to say it when I was drunk, and it caught on. Hahaha

Not smearing me for 5 months, just once or twice.

The rest of it is pretty accurate.

How do you conclude they did that once or twice and how would that lead to you being in there for 5 months?

Your perception of what they are saying has simply lost a dimension of depth. That you can't imagine or make the mental connection that I'm typing these words from a limited perspective, that's just what it is, a limitation of your ability to imagine. Is that "true"? What a weird thing to be "true". It's like if I had lost my ability to wiggle my toes but I'm still able to walk, that this specific thing somehow gives me insight into what is really true.

You’re not losing your mind, you’re just too intelligent, you are aware of a most profound truth that reality is consciousness that is totally alone. All One.

There is no other consciousness because it’s fundamental. Consciousness is never seen as a material object. The natural world is considered an effect of this unseen consciousness.

No two minds can ever meet, or even merge. They can connect and talk about the weather together, but they will never know each other because there is no other. In other words, there is no one because there’s no other than one.

It is a mindfuck, yes. Nothing is doing your life, because nothing is undoing your life.
Nothing is being done and nothing is being undone.

Learn to say “no” without explaining. Boundaries are the invisible walls that protect dignity.
