Dream Contemplation

3 posts in this topic

Did anybody here contemplated what dreams are? I mean the dreams you have while you sleep.

In the sense what function do they have? Why its so surreal and nebulous? I have a Dream Journal, but only 1% of the dreams I have make sense to me.

I have heard so many theories about what dreams are. But none of that theories help me to understand my personal ones.

Its just pure imagination shape-shifting substance. This doesn’t mean I know what is that substance but words point .

Here's some interesting notes about dreams:

1- they don't have a beginning or context. Its instantaneous "lights on "and a whole scene is there .

2- it's often related to shit that happend in the waking state .so watch out what you input into your so called brain during the waking state cause your mind will create dreams out of that..because what else would you dream about other than stuff you already have in your mind ?

3- the whole solipsism thing is still a hard nut to crack  for me. Because obviously you know the entire dream is you imagining the  dream world .I don't exactly (yet) see fully why is this so farfetched to be the case with this experience right now.

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

From my observation and study of my dreams, I see them broadly as portals to information/inspiration.

I try not to dismiss them and write down every dream, because it may contain something valuable, no matter how silly it seems.

Different dreams carry different kinds of information.

Some are simply the “junk” of the subconscious, parts of our psyche we are mostly unaware of which can be valuable, especially for shadow work.

They can reveal repressed feelings, needs, desires, and even fears that appear as nightmares.

Sometimes dreams place us in situations where we must make decisions or solve problems related to real life, as the subconscious never rests.

Some dreams seem to predict future events.

From personal experience and stories of others, these dreams usually occur shortly before the event and are relatively rare.

Some dreams are messages from the deceased. People often dream of loved ones within a year of their passing, and these dreams can feel especially vivid and real.

Some dreams feel like spontaneous out-of-body or astral experiences in other dimensions of reality. In these people may encounter unusual beings or entities (NHI).

These dreams often feel extremely detailed and vivid, almost indistinguishable from physical reality, and may carry spiritual messages. They can resemble a DMT-like experience.

There are also lucid dreams, which are less about receiving information and more about consciously influencing the dream. This requires practice, as it’s easy to forget that you are dreaming.

Other dreams unfold like well-crafted stories in entirely different realities, almost like watching a movie.

Some dreams are more literal, though most are symbolic.

Understanding dream symbolism both collective and personal can be helpful in interapting them.

This is why in my opinion it’s important to track dreams. it helps reveal patterns and recurring themes and is a powerful tool for self-understanding... perhaps the best one.

Dreams in general remain a mysterious phenomenon.
